Does not apply when the offensive player is forced out of bounds.

That player was brought down in bounds.

I still think targeting should have been called in the first quarter

It should have been unnecessary roughness for hitting a sliding QB. You could certainly argue against targeting, but it should have been 15 yards.

Can't imagine that a defender could play that any better than he did.

I can. He launched AFTER JD had begun his slide. He had given up and was by rule, a defenseless player. The defenders arms did make contact with JDs helmet.

As awful as it sounds we need Bama to win. OM only has one conference loss. If for some reason we fall against Arky or tamu, we’ll still get to Atlanta because we’d own the tiebreaker against either Bama or OM at that point.

I don't think it was targeting but it was far more egregious than the Devin White targeting call that put him on the bench for the first half against Bama.

Not me. It's a good rule.

His momentum carried him out after the tackle. He would be considered forced out of bounds.

His fingers were clearly pushed back by the ball. I'm OK with them not calling it because of the spirit of the rule and this was just not enough,

Wtf? So them blatantly getting the call wrong is ok because the pass was just a little bit tipped?

Yea, but you are a massive contrarian bitch, so.

In no way is a rule "good" if it rewards a player that just fumbled a ball and gave possession to the other team.

I understand having it in place for for receivers on pass plays when they are pushed out and have to re-establish themselves, but this is completely different.

In no way is a rule that allows a player who just fumbled the ball to prevent the other team from recovering the fumble by merely touching it a good rule.

Time to push back with the other SEC teams.
The corruption to rig certain games is becoming more and more blatant. Been going on for decades.
SEC needs to move headquarters and start over with a new crew of referees.

The fumble was the correct call. Lsu player didn’t have complete control of the ball
I’m sure there was calls that they missed that we/lsu made that were missed
