Proximo sighted him at 8:30.

James, the owner of Rico the I10 dog joined TD because someone linked him in. They got separated after a terrible wreck. James has been in the hospital.

James searched in the last area Rico was spotted but he is probably laying low for the night, so James decided to come back in the morning.

His faith in humanity has been restored because of OTs help tonight.

I was following this thread all last evening. I'm praying Rico is found safe and returned to his owner James. Thank you to all who are helping.

First thing I did this morning when I woke up was to check this thread.

Proximo you are the man.

ETA: and Swagga too, and Pandy for starting all of this.

Hoping Rico turns up today.

Wow what a night. Proximo you and Swagga are so selfless to go down there like you did and search.

All eyes will now be on that area today to see if Rico can be found.

I have a friend driving into town this afternoon who is also going to stop and see if he can see Rico.

This is the spot where he was laying when I saw him. (No water right now).

Please call James () and don’t approach him if anyone sees him. I fear he will run off again

I was trying to think of a way to leave peanut butter elevated off the ground so ants don’t get to it , to ensure he stays in that area.

Someone with some engineering acumen make it happen

I was thinking Vienna sausage, could put in large bowl
Or on a smaller plate sitting inside sheet pan or something with water in bottom to keep ants away

Take the lid off of a peanut butter jar and nail the lid to a tree. Screw the peanut butter jar into the lid then cut the bottom of the jar off. Ants may still find it, but at least it will be elevated and give some time before they do.

When the search is over, remove the peanut butter jar and remove the nail from the tree.

This is one of the best threads we’ve had in a while. Hope dog and owner are reunited soon.

James you be damn careful over there. You’re probably in more danger than your dog.

Well done Proximo on the recon last night.

James said he was going out at daybreak. Haven’t heard from him today

I’ll come back this afternoon when I get off if he isn’t found yet for backup.

A drone would greatly expand the search area.
