For what little its worth, this is an incorrect idea. You can't spend or give away money to save money. It simply doesn't work that way. That logic means that taxes are great then 100%....

You save on taxes by buying "personal" items like a work vehicle or work computer for yourself through your business. But you still pay for it and its still going to cost you more then your taxes, so you would have had more money not buying it at all.

I think you are misinterpreting the post. Mr Beast doesn't have to worry about gift taxes because these aren't personal gifts, they're a cost of running his business and reduce his business income.

How does he have so much money. Does he have loaded parents or something.

All of his videos I see him giving away shite tons of money, and he can't be making that much money on YouTube to turn a profit if that's his only source of income.

yes...yes they did

its nuts how much a lot of these streamers are making. but like most things they got in early and on the ground floor.

they make a ton though in ad sales, endorsements, appearences and swag.

they lied about alot of things....like cant make money being a coach, cant make it as a business owner, contractors are poor and the list goes on

he has more viewers than the super bowl, thats on one channel, he has multiple each with about the same views on videos as the SB

he makes a shite load from ad revenue

he sales merch

he makes appearences and endorsements

like i said, he was offered 1 billion for his channels and the finance guy did the math on the ad revenue alone for his main channel and he estimated his main channel was worth a couple billion in itself and the whole company had a value between 10-20billion which is exactly what mr beast said he would sale for.

dude perfect and some of the others are the same way. go look at the view count, its nuts.

my kids watch all this shite and its insane.

All those new IRS agents will probably find a way to go after him for not issuing 1099s.

I don't know exactly how much he's making but just as a hypothetical, if he's making $70mil a year on YouTube, it's not that hard to give away half or $35mil as the means to continue getting subscribers.

Don't get caught in the numbers themselves, just pointing out whatever money he's giving away, he's making a shite ton more.

He also has Mr Beast Burgers fast food that may be more valuable than his streaming shite itself.

Whatever this dude is doing, he's doing it right and everything he touches turns into a billion dollar venture.

1. Film yourself giving away $30,000.

2. Post it on YouTube and make $100,000 from ads.

3. ???

4. Profit

There's just something about that dude that I don't care for. I can't really put my finger on it, though.

ETA: He once gave Brian Shaw a convertible Camaro because Brian was able to deadlift it. Shaw did keep the car, even though he couldn't actually fit in it. Probably gave it to his wife.

He is making an insane amount of money from advertisers. Just go look at his subscriber count and how many views he gets a day.

I just went and looked and on 10/24/2022 he had 80 million views with an estimated value of over $20k to $320k. He's had over 570 million views over the last 30 days that earned him up to $2.3MM.

And that's just his main channel. That channel has brought in close to 110 million subscribers and has amassed over 80 BILLION video views.

"oh he just wrote it off as a business expense". Its still a fricking expense that costs money.

You can’t Spend Money to Save Money, but you can Spend Money to Make Money. My point was that Mr. Beast does not classify the money and items given away as a gift but as a production expense. It is essentially his overhead cost. The giveaways are what create the content therefore making them the expense paid to produce said content that is then marketed to generate income. Income less expenses equals profit. I agree that expenses that are otherwise not needed but realized for the sole purpose of a tax deduction are not always wise unless they are expenses that could generate future income to offset the difference in the tax savings and actual cost of the expense. There are few exceptions to this so you aren’t completely wrong but Mr. Beast’s business model is literally built around the expense of giving away things in order to generate views which in turn generates add revenue. The people that are getting taxed to oblivion are the people that receive the giveaways because Uncle Sam will be expecting taxes to be paid by the recipient, not the person that gives the products away.

Mr. Beast and crew are examples of how dorks and nerds win in the end

He has 109 million subscribers alone on his main channel and technically over 200 million with all channels combined.

Look at the views he gets per video, these are just most recent and not all time top

Compare that to the most watched TV of all 2021

Only the Super Bowl can really out do him, put still comes short against his all time views

I don't think some people really understand how much successful IG/Twitch/Youtube people can make. 23 year old kids buying huge houses and GTRs.

1. Ryan Kaji (YouTube Channel: Ryan's World)
Earnings: $29.5 million

Subscribers: 41.7 million

Is it unbelievable that the richest YouTubers in 2021 is a nine-year-old boy?

Ryan Kaji, whose YouTube channel name is Ryan's world, managed to get 30 million subscribers in over five years and is one of the most successful kid YouTubers. Just as he wrote in his bio - Ryan is crazy about doing lots of funny things like pretend play, science experiments, music videos, skits, challenges, DIY arts and crafts, and more! Ryan turned his hobbies into creative educational videos, which inspired millions of children.

MrBeast is currently the reigning champ of YouTube. His channel has grown exponentially since he first went viral for counting to 100,000 back in 2017, becoming especially lucrative. Forbes reported that MrBeast raked in $54 million in 2021, double the amount that he'd earned the previous year, and most of his money comes from ad revenue generated by the 89 million subscribers who tune into his channel.

Like other YouTubers on this list, MrBeast frequently pulls over-the-top stunts for his videos. He splits his stunts between personal challenges, like the time he spent 24 hours in a house made of ice, and ridiculous pranks, like when he filled his brother's house with slime. What sets MrBeast apart is that a majority of his content focuses on giving his hard-earned money away. After filling his brother's house with slime, MrBeast bought him a new one. Other times, MrBeast will simply give strangers $10,000.

MrBeast also organizes charities outside of YouTube. In 2019 he created #TeamTrees with the goal of raising enough money to plant millions of trees around the world. Just two years later, he was helping to remove plastic from the ocean with a new campaign, #TeamSeas. MrBeast's charities and giveaway videos have earned him the title of "YouTube's biggest philanthropist" and pushed him to become YouTube's highest paid content creator in 2021.
