I am planning on making smoked queso on the grill, jalapeno poppers and pigs in the blanket with Conecuh sausage and pepper jack cheese.

I was going to make a pot of jambalaya but I want to watch the TN/GA game.

Typically it would be chicken wings, gumbo or jambalaya, and copious amounts of booze. This year, however, I will be stuck in a condo in Panama City for a soccer tournament. I am less than pleased. Cook on!

I'm thinking smoked brisket queso and wings. Maybe some pig shots. Should be a great day of football.

I always make gumbo for the bammer game, too... But just had to drop everything and come to Cincinnati to be with a friend in the hospital, so Skyline/Gold Star chili it is.

40 gal gumbo,

Wait, is that the name of the dish, or are you actually making 40 gallons of gumbo? Side note, talked my buddy into meeting me at the LSU bar here in Chicago for this one. Went there for the Florida game a few years back and it was a great time. They had a NO jazz band playing during the timeouts.

We have the cripple fight at 11am, so we’re going to fry shrimp and flounder for dinner Saturday night. Haven’t decided on the snack/lunch food yet.

It’s me and three 11-12 year old boys. Probably big burgers on the Weber kettle. Maybe chips and queso.

Have you never had it? it's from a small county in Alabama, I lived in Mobile for 15 years.

Just smoked sausage with more of a unique flavor than most smoked sausages. Rouses sells it.

I like it for a change of pace. Split them open and grill or bake... on a biscuit with mustard.

We used to stop at a gas station at the Pineapple exit I think to get a similar style when traveling back and forth to LA.
