How much stronger is this than ephedra? I cycle an ECA stack from time to time and the focus I get from it is great.

You don’t get true withdrawal symptoms from adderall. It’s not physically addictive although it may become psychologically addictive (i.e. you convince yourself that you need it more than you actually do). I took the highest dose available for probably around 7 years. When my husband and I decided we were ready to have kids, I quit taking it. I thought it would be hard, but it was remarkably easy. There were no withdrawals like some people are saying. I did start drinking a lot more coffee. The funny thing was that I thought I would be exhausted without it, but I was actually less tired because the adderall impacted my sleep so negatively.

Synthetic meth is what we call it

No, it isn't.

Meth is an entire methyl group, or a carbon atom bonded with 3 hydrogen atoms, added to amphetamine. Think of them like sister compounds where meth is the bigger, stronger sister.

The addition of the methyl group makes methamphetamine more fat-soluble, so it more easily crosses the blood-brain barrier and thus increases concentrations in the brain. The extra methyl group must also be metabolized, which significantly increases the half life of the drug.

focus. I read a good description of what people with ADD experience as being like your mind is a white board and there is so much written on it, in the gaps, along the sides, etc., that you can’t focus on one thing. That was a perfect description of what I deal with.

I explain it as my mind is a rubber room someone fires a cannon full of bouncy balls in.

Adderhol stops all the bouncing.

Sure, it grants me the ability to study a given subject and regurgitate it onto a test, but the sacrifice is my ability to think critically and my personality. In short, I’m not me. Adderhol and all of its ilk rob me of who I am replace that person with some kind of focused robot. And I absolutely hate it.

I decided long ago that I’d figure out how to deal with the brain God gave me rather than turn it off so I could focus on what amounts to meaningless school work.

We’re all different. We all view problems and find solutions differently.

Manufacturing chemicals that force our human existence to fit into the same box stifles creativity and lessens humanity.

Kids with ADD don’t need drugs to make them sit in a classroom for 8 hours a day and then go home and do hours of homework. They need subjects that cater to them. They need different teaching methods and creative outlets. They need to find a way to cope and channel their energy rather than suffocate it.

Art, trades, skills, business executives, inventors, philanthropy, etc are (or atleast were) industries thriving with people deemed too attention deficited to memorize their way through the American scholastic pyramid. And for some reason we’ve all just accepted the inability to sit in a desk quiet and still forever as some sort of condition that must be fixed.

What’s worse is we’ve decided still developing minds should be fed synthetic chemicals to destroy their natural development and force them into a state of mind we prefer to fit a structure we demand rather than allowing them to navigate the state of mind they were born with and learn where they fit in the world.

And this can be seen echoing in many ways throughout society. We need to stop allowing society to shove children into these prisons and allow them to explore and interact with the world the way their brains were intended to.

You can drink alcohol like a fish when on adderall but your heart is in constant conflict on whether to slow down or speed up because you are on a depressant (alcohol) and speed (adderall).

Alcohol is a CNS depressant. That doesn't necessarily mean it slows your heart rate, although large amounts in a very short period of time will.

Alcohol actually raises your heart rate, which isn't a good thing when combined with adderall. And, yeah, you can absolutely drink like a fish on adderall, would not recommend it for anyone with a history of alcoholism.

I believe that is the maximum therapeutic dose. Talk to your physician about a long-term taper when and if you decide to stop it again.

Anecdotally though, many physicians that prescribe psycho-addictive drugs (and other drugs) aren't necessarily good at getting the patient off of them. You may have to just pull yourself up by your bootstraps and suffer through a prolonged period of being utterly de-energized and demotivated.

Easier said than done, I know.

It has to be the most over prescribed drug. I’ve personally seen adderall wreck lives. Highly addictive and can cause drug induced psychosis. I’ve seen multiple lives fall apart from their addiction, never sleeping, irritability, paranoia, narcissism. The drug essentially broke their brain. They could have been susceptible to mental issues before but I firmly believe the drug exasperates any underlying issues if not solely being the causation. It’s almost as if it makes people sociopaths from the zombie like trance they’re in.
With that being said, I’ve seen success stories of people with real adhd taking adderall and it slowing/calming them down, allowing them to function better. I’d be willing to wager that less than 50% of people prescribed the drug actually have adhd and it is just taken as a performance enhancer.

My wife can take it and be very productive/normal.

I take it and I feel like I’m on cocaine so I just want to drink vodka and frick/jerk off all day.

It's awesome it just makes you cranky af. When I have to take it for somewhat social settings I have to really watch myself to not get pushy or rude.

I would want to smoke a pack of cigarettes a day when I was on that crap. Nobody really needs it, it gives you the extra push and you go from 0-100 in about an hour after taking. You don't want to eat anything. When I used to play sports it was awesome, so in the zone. Really fun to play golf on Adderall. The worst feeling in the entire world is not being able to sleep when you want to and you need to be up in the morning to do things...you get mad because lack of sleep and it's not worth it .

I take 25mg XR daily.

After I stopped taking it, I had maybe 1-2 days of feeling “weird”. Not bad or anything, just slightly different. After that, it was just like being back to how I was before I was prescribed to it. No “withdrawal”. Just back to having the same focus issues I had before ever taking it.

Same here. Never had that withdrawal factor. After a couple days of not taking it, I just feel a little sluggish and out of focus.

Never had any issues with high blood pressure or heart rate. The only negative effects that I have experienced is every now and then having trouble falling asleep and not feeling like eating.

Like you said, talk to your doctor and find the right dosage. It took me adjusting mine a couple times to find the right one.

This is a true gateway drug IMO. Is it necessary for some? Absolutely but it is over prescribed and used in many cases as a performance enhancer.

You can get carried away with it very easily, and taking too much could kill you. I stayed up for 3 days on the stuff once, never took it again, but I have an addictive personality so my experience may not be like yours

Its just amphetamine. They are drug addicts.

People don't want to think they're drug addicts but most constant adderall users are.
