First off, I’m 45 years old and have never taken this drug or anything like it. Got thru engineering school and have a successful career.

I’ve done some research and watched some docs. Seems like a Superman pill that really gives people an edge from anywhere from the workplace to sports, etc. however, I still don’t get any quality info on harmful side effects.

It’s addictive....ok. So is coffee, caffeine, etc. Still no quality info on side effects that counter the enhanced benefits.

Adderall users, please chime in. Convince me not to go down this path...GO!

Get tested to see if you even have attention deficit as an adult. Sleep apnea and General anxiety or crappy sleep are way more common reasons to not be able to focus. If you have been successful in school. And life try to avoid asking the doctor for this stimulant. If it elevates your BP or races your heart - this is not good. You can save it for the weekends and party like a maniac.
You can also take it to work and study, but sometimes may get sidetracked and clean your entire house or play video games for 8 hours straight.

It's a joke to compare it to coffee, caffeine, etc.

It literally makes you focus x10 and get shite done.

It's pure speed.

It's harmful.

Other than depending on this medication daily, it certainly helps with focusing.

This is what I keep hearing. How exactly is it harmful. Everything is generalized. I’m not a party guy so will use it for the benefits of getting stuff done at work, etc.

Can it be worse than your average slacker drinking a 12 pack?

I have no issues with adults taking it, you can get so much shite done in a day, I do have issues when adults give it to their 3rd graders because Timmy is hyper.

Sometimes I think I need adderall to do my daily duties at work. I don’t take it but due to “do more with less”, I feel like I could never catch up without some sort of stimulant

I know a few guys who are really struggling because they can no longer function acceptably without it.

Helped me write several papers in college but never used it outside of that scenario.

You are 45, compare legal meth to coffee and your research found no side effects to offset benefits?

Seriously?

Why do people say this? You have either not done coke or you have not taken addy. Coke scatters your brain, and Adderall makes you focus. Not saying it's not bad, but this is a lazy comparison.

I still have yet to hear one harmful side effect.

Granted, I’m not a fan of getting into drug use in my 40s, but convince me why I shouldn’t take a couple pills if I’m trying to get through a big project or crisis situation at work.

So is there and withdrawals when not taking? Are they any more extreme than legal stimulants?
