I thought the 3rd and 15 completion to Boutte was incredibly mismarked

It was the play mid first quarter where he caught the ball near the sideline and got sandwiched and driven back. To me, his catch was almost two yards past the sticks, but marked short.

Yep. He caught that ahead of the line to gain and was pushed back.

I agree….bad spot. And I think it’s reviewable. It was a poorly officiated game

Lmao at making a thread about a spot in the 1st quarter of a game LSU won last night.

Laugh if you want, but the game was poorly officiated on both sides. The SEC should be ashamed of themselves for putting guys out there who are this clueless. The fans watching the game are better officials, and they have instant replay they can use to fix mistakes.

Y’all sound like absolute jokes right now crying about a 1Q spot that had no influence at all on the game

Considering we had to go for it on fourth down it could have been crucial if we hadn’t converted. Confidence and momentum would have been shot.

If you haven’t noticed our offense hasn’t been the picture of consistency this season.

Refs were terrible. Both sides. SEC supposed to be best conference but has the worst refs.

It was caught much closer to the marker, possibly even beyond it. He was in the air and the tackle took him back toward the LOS. I couldn't believe they didn't review the spot.

The spotting of the football after each play is the most inaccurate thing in all of sports.

No they don’t. It was a horrible call, as were several others. It was ridiculously obvious that Boutte got the first down.

Discussing extremely poor SEC officiating in an important game LSU just played is highly relevant and worth discussing.

What were the other horrible calls? I agree that I thought this particular play resulted in a bad spot.

I tweeted that to Brody Miller last night and he said it was reviewed but not overturned. Forward progress was clearly a 1st but they got it the next play.

Thomas's catch and the Perkins fumble being overturned.

The real joke is you worrying about people talking football on a football forum.
