Y’all keeping up with this?

You can go to LINK and see the proposed fee for your property. Shows mine at about $230/year.

And it's going to take about 1 year for them to come up with a reason why they have to increase it

Yea no doubt. And this shite is going to pass. They’ve spent a significant amount of effort already behind the scenes, so I’m sure they already know the Metro Council will approve this bullshite.

Absolute horseshite that this doesn't have to be voted on. This city is the gift that keeps on giving.

So it’s going to be added to our property taxes. This is effectively a little over a 5% increase in my property tax. Mother frickers keep squeezing us from every angle.

My neighborhood drains aren’t connected to anything from the city. I’m sure I’ll get a bill though.

The fee is supposed to be charged based on paved areas, etc.
But we all know unpaved areas have runoff too.

This is just a money grab. There’s no plan. Instead of complying with federal law when she took office, Broome did nothing. Now we are supposedly under the gun, but we really don’t know that.

38 million a year is a wild guess. It’s a lot of money. They have millions now and can’t spend it because they can’t fill out the paper work.

But I know it will pass. The fix is on

It’s not even up for a fricking vote.

So less than $20 a year to help address the flooding issue?

The frick? 230 is not less than 20.

And you think this will “address the flooding issue”? We have CREATED the flooding issue and continue to do so by approving development in fricking swamps. Look at Burbank as a great example.

Imagine being so stupid that you think any portion of the fee will be used to properly address flooding

Anybody know when the Comite Diversion Canal will be finished?

I am pretty sure they have been working on that one for about 50 years.
