You probably have a virus. Keep taking whatever meds to help and it will pass. Alot of it going around.

Idk if this will work, but when all else fails I go in and get a steroid (cortisone) shot to reduce the inflammation. Think it can be temporary but might give you some relief if nothing else is working.

Check side effects of other meds you are on
My Grandpa had same issues, don’t remember which medicine they said had something to do with it

Old school Sudafed. But you can’t get it without a prescription bc of the meth heads.

I have had the exact condition you are talking about. I’ve tried every medicine you mentioned plus Singulair, D-Hist, Xyzal and Chlortabs. My doctor even changed my Lisinopril BP medicine because it can cause sinus drainage but that didn’t phase the drainage.
The first several months it was not like classic post nasal drip or drainage, it felt more like having a lump the size of an M & M stuck deep in the back of my throat that constantly made me need to clear my throat. It gets considerably worse after drinking or eating anything warm or hot, also when I eat anything spicy or saucy.
But in the last 5-6 days, it has become a combination of real nasal drainage caused by weed pollen and a small lump, with some ability now to hock it up which sometimes causes your throat to feel like you ripped the skin off and left it raw.
Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) helps more than anything but it has to be taken every 3-4 hours and too much of it affects my heart rate and blood pressure. I plan to talk to my general practitioner at my fall wellness visit in a couple of weeks.
In the meantime I have to just keep irritating the hell out of anyone I’m around by constantly having to clear my throat.

I have that insane post nasal drip that make me cough. It comes and goes and I can’t figure out what triggers it. I take Singular and Xyzal. Right now I’m good. Maybe go get tested for allergies.

That’s what shirt sleeves are for.

You've tried just about everything over the counter.
Patanase is over the counter and I think they just released azelastine over the counter as well(astepro). Those are both anti-histamine nasal sprays that may help.
Otherwise ipatropium bromide can also be useful, but prescription. Ent can always look and make sure you don't have a persistent sinusitis or other issue causing the post nasal drip if you fail the above.
Lastly, sometimes post nasal drip isn't always because of allergies/nose issues. Occasionally post nasal drip is due to reflux...so may need to consider a different treatment.

That’s great information, thanks. I’m going to try Azelastine next and if that fails, I’m going to the ENT. I have no other symptoms besides post nasal drip. No congestion, headaches, persistent cough.

If you've had this for weeks you need to go to urgent care or a Physician. You probably have a sinus infection by now but you need to get it verified. Don't go taking antibiotics until you go the Dr.

Try Quercetin supplement. My son and I both prefer it to Benadryl and other OTC allergy drugs.
As someone else mentioned do a sinus nasal rinse with distilled water only. I use the cheap Ayr brand and it works well.
If it persists start documenting what you eat. I definitely have seasonal allergies that cause a runny nose but dairy sends it into overdrive.

The medical specialty here is mostly confined to STD afflictions.
Sorry.

oh we're doing medical hardships?

Had it for years and years. If you are mowing grass, wear a mask. But, it sounds like you need to stop the meds for 2 days and let the crap get out of your sinuses. Sometimes people keep trying to dry it up and it just plugs up in the nasal cavity and makes you miserable for weeks.

Find the closest pure honey to your house. Not store bought but something at a market that is local !!

News to me. But it’s definitely on Amazon for sale in the OTC section.
I usually turn to Atrovent for patients first because i get fewer complaints about weird aftertaste, but if I were the OP, I’d probably grab this before going in.
