Will be in Pittsburgh for a week for work.
Need some lunch/dinner recs, maybe some running trails, and anything worth checking out in the evenings (bars, attractions, parks, etc)

most of the city is pretty amazing.
Great food and drink, the hills, museums, sport teams, churches (I'm not religious - for the architecture and history)
And Falling Waters is a short drive.
Great, underrated place.

Point State Park at the confluence of the three rivers is really cool and close enough to one of the bridges that you can run across it and go by PNC Park or Heinz Field.
The Duquesne Incline is pretty cool and has some bars at the top of it.
We did 4 games (3 baseball, 1 football) over 3 days so we didn’t hit any bars or restaurants other than Primanti Bros in the Strip District. But that area looked like a cool spo to bar hop. I’ll try to add more later.

The funicular is a fine run for kids and provides an excellent view of the city.

Do not bother with Primanti Brothers, the place that puts fries on burgers. It's garbage.

This may sound strange, but Penn Ave. Fish Co is one of the better sushi restaurants I've been to for lunch.
2 locations, strip district and downtown.

I haven’t been up that way in almost 8 yrs so things may have changed some.
Fat Heads on Carson had good beer and decent food. Lots of bars and restaurants on Carson.
Penn Ave Fish Co was fantastic for lunch.
I used to run at Frick Park, North Park and also the rivers have paved trails running along them.

If you're staying downtown, everything is really walkable. But you can also take the subway downtown and to the North Shore (where the stadiums are) for free. You only have to pay if you go a certain distance outside of downtown.
We saved a ton on rideshares because we rode that thing either to or from every game we went to, or both. It's really clean and the trains run regularly. If you're downtown and know which stations you need to go to, it doesn't matter which line you get on.
And remember to be aware on your drive in from the airport when you go through the Ft Pitt tunnel. They say Pittsburgh is the only city with a front door. It's a really cool view to watch the whole city open up to you from the tunnel. I only saw it at night, but people say night is better because it's all lit up.

Meat and Potatoes (Downtown) and Altius (top of the Duquesne Incline) for dinner. Helltown Brewing as good beer as well. Catch a Pirates game if they are in town.

Currently closed fwiw- a car ran into it not too long ago and I'm guessing the "repairs" are due to that

If you have time, the Carnegie Museum over in the Mellon is worth it.

If you are staying downtown, City Works is a great sports bar with solid food
Alla Famiglia up on Mount Washington is pretty incredible Italian food. They have a bunch of restaurants up on Mt Washington that overlook the city which is a pretty cool experience if you have never done it.
Or, the Whale was my fave spot, but it got shut down during covid.

Going in November for the Saints game. Is the Andy Warhol museum worth checking out?

if you are a big Warhol fan, then sure. I enjoyed it, but the bigger, more traditional museums are great.
