Meh, I wouldn't go that far with Brendan. He was very productive for us for the first half of qualifying.

I just think Gio is better than him, because Gio is better than all of our wingers.

Today no Musah.
Would like to see MMA if all healthy but he could start there if one injured and get another wing in like Aaronson or Weah.

But for the sake of the argument, if everyone is healthy, who are you benching to put Aaronson on the field?

Then say you'd start Weah over Gio.

True, but Gio hasn't been Gio in well over a year. Weah was our best player this year while Gio was hurt.

In the end I’m way more worried about who we are starting next to Zimmerman at CB and how our MF will perform than which 2 of our 4 quality wingers we start in which games

Striker if all are healthy.

Yep.

Don't like the fact that Richards is the best option and he missed this camp and isn't really playing for Palace.

I think he's a better CB than Miles overall, but Miles at least had continuity with Zimmerman. Richards hasn't had much and has missed a lot of USMNT camps due to injuries.

I'm not worried about this if Musah is healthy. We have seen that he is the perfect link of the three, which takes pressure off of both Adams and McKennie, allowing them to play to their strengths. When Musah isn't there though, Adams' lack of creativity gets exploited and McKennie just always seems to get lost.

If Musah isn't healthy, we're pretty much fricked.

Is Gregg going down without looking at Ream or Brooks at Center back given the injuries, not playing for clubs, bad play, etc we have there?

I don't think you can pair Ream with Zimmerman. Just entirely too slow of a combo.

If you play Ream, you do it in place of Zimmerman.

So maybe ream doesn’t start but should be there.
Slow center back depth chart:
Zimmerman/Ream/Long
Faster center back depth chart:
Richards/?/?

So who are you taking out of the midfield?

I mean… you have to play McKennie, but he needs to be so much better.

Fat Ronaldo could get behind Ream and Zimmerman

What I don’t get is the time we have actually seen change tactics vs Mexico it worked

To Gregg’s credit his adjustments usually work in a game-changing way. Seems like he didn’t bother for these two games. Maybe he wanted to try some last minute stuff before the World Cup, but idk. We didn’t really go for it.

It's weird because if you look at McKennie's time with the USMNT, he either is really, really good... or really, really invisible with no inbetween.

GGG needs to throw his previous system out. Play 3 in the back with Jedi and Dest as wing backs. Play Pefok up top fit our talent around them Pulisic Aaronson Adams Weah et al and run people in the ground with young legs. Get our best 11 on the field.

We would get hosed

We don’t know who our second centerback is and you want a third? I love me a 3-5-2 but we have played it before and looked super mediocre.

I've seen a lot of build up games prior to the WC and this was the worst I can remember.

This is easily the worst I can remember but we also did really poorly in 2002, apparently.
