Possibly, but IMO violence is a bigger driver of the exodus than just poverty. Those people can put up with a lot, but they don’t want to get killed.

Failed you are funny, this was planned by Xi. He is doing the same the Edrogan did in Turkey. Stage a coup and then consolidate power and completely crush political dissent. Then will blame this on Taiwan somehow and prepare for an invasion.

There are multiple groups that want to replace Xi. Some to continue the ccp with them in charge. Others to replace the ccp. An attempted coup is not out of the question.

You’re right… but I think the biggest issue is with one guy holding all the cards with zero real oversight… at least in the past, the Chinese leader has had to answer to someone… that will likely be gone soon…. And we’ve all seen what one man’s personal whims can do to a country.
