I had service all day tailgating and throughout the entire game, with Verizon... I need it to get my highlights on other games going around the country, cause the in-stadium updates are so awful.

If you have Verizon, it won’t be an issue. I have Verizon, and can text, make phone calls, and browse TD when I’m at the game. You probably have AT&T

I do realize that everyone should be watching game, but strictly from the point of keeping people in their seats ,it would to have service in stadium.

I have AT&T and have zero service in the stadium. I like to use my phone to look at other scores during the game.

Verizon has upped their game - much better in TS than it has been previously.

I've never even tried to access the internet during a game. I don't go to a football game to scan the internet, and I don't really care what's going on elsewhere. I can find out all I need to know after the game is over.

I suspect that is one of the reasons why many people leave early.
Why would this make people leave?

Get a better phone or a better service provider. I had full use of my phone last night including streaming highlights from other games

Ditch your cricket wireless and step up baw

LSU needs more pipes.

15 DV's but these people dont understand the young social media addicted youths. This has come up on every survey that is done on game experience. LSU keeps saying they will do something but they just dont seem to get around to it...

Some people have this right. Cell phone service is a product of your phone provider. If AT&T cell phones aren't getting a consistently good signal, complain to AT&T.

Stadium wifi is different. The athletic department (or LSU facilities people?) makes the decision on that. Fitting Tiger Stadium for dependable wifi is a costly upgrade.
I would think AT&T will want to wire the whole place for fiber optic.

LSU has to respond to the problem. It makes sense from a ticket buyer standpoint, but a reliable internet signal would also generate revenue for LSU.
How? By selling our personal information, of course, same as all websites. There's also an in-seat gambling component for the athletic department to consider.

The newer professional stadiums and arenas have realized this and planned accordingly. College facilities, however, which tend to be older, have continued to lag behind.

3' think concrete doesn't care about 1st world problems....but LSU should be able to convince major carriers to dump a bunch of short range antennas around the stadium. Pretty sure there is only 3 still and none are ATT.

It depends on your carrier. WiFi and cell service are completely different. I know my company is spending @$15M network upgrades at Tiger Stadium. The WiFi is managed by the Athletic Department normally and is not tied to a cellular provider. The stadium WiFi is normally not even tied to the regular school WiFi.

Wireless LAN the entire stadium, make sure you've got enough bandwidth (10G+), provide high limits on the guest (or dedicated) network on game days, and boom....best internet access possible.

A lot of bigger and updated NFL stadiums have great wifi or are close enough to towers that allow cell signal.

There are literally only 5 stadiums in the USA that are bigger than TS

The fact is Verizon has better service in and around the stadium because they are a sponsor and allowed to put antennas in the stadium to improve the signal.

The argument some make about putting the phone down is silly. We live in a world where people want to keep up with other games, their friends and gamble during the 3-4 hours they are at the stadium. No excuse for LSU not figuring out how to supply in-stadium WiFi in 2022. If u don’t want to use yours, no problem, but the majority of people going want to use their mobile device in this day and age.

Was at Kyle Field last night with 107k plus. I could get texts no problem but trying to keep up with LSU game on my phone it was very slow to update. And internet very very slow also.

Watch the game and enjoy the atmosphere. You can post that you were there later.
