Spain and Portugal-14 days

We are planning a honeymoon to Spain and Portugal for 14 days in March/April. Are there any suggestions on cities we should visit? I am thinking of 5 cities total so we don't spend to much time traveling between places.

Five is two too many cities to visit for two weeks.
Make sure you spend as much time as possible in Barcelona.

Doing the same thing around that time.
We're looking at doing Lisbon-Porto-Douro Valley-Basque or Barcelona.

It's still chilly at that time. Don't plan on any beaches.

I would split it between 3-4.
Lisbon
Porto
Barcelona/tbd
I’ve been to those three and would choose to spend the most time in Porto.

Barcelona is awesome and either Stiges or costa brava for beaches. We spent 2 nights in Cadeques where Salvador Dali lived and it was a great beach town. You can tour Dali's house which is why we went there.
Porto and Lisbon are awesome as well.

Honeymoon? Pick a couple of spots and enjoy. Too much travel there baw. Personally, I'd can Portugal (LOL, we're going there in May of next year).
But...
Barcelona fits the bill. Amazing city. Food. Wine.
My vote would be spend most of your time in the Basque Country. San Sebastian. Bilbao.

Was just there in august. Did barcelona, Madrid, last 100km of the Camino from Sarria to Santiago, then Lisbon. Barcelona was incredible, a day trip to Monserrat was fun too. Madrid personally was fun but I would skip it. Lisbon was amazing too, so many places to walk around and eat, a day trip to Sintra and cassias is a must too.
In short I would do Lisbon and Barcelona for sure. The Camino was incredible also, but a whole different vibe than the cities.
Also as a side note: food in Barcelona and Madrid is super cheap (like 10 euros for more food than you can eat plus a couple drinks and no tipping). Lisbon food prices were more like what you see in the US.

You can easily do five cities in two weeks, just tailor your expectations. The Spanish are very nice people but they do NOTHING with any speed or efficiency. Train and planes leave late all the time. Once I was on a train leaving BCN at 4:20 for down the coast. It didn't move for 20 minutes, and they literally came over the intercom and basically said "f*** it, this is now the 5:20 train, just stay aboard". Still no motion until 5:40 and we finally rolled. We also paid to sit up front last time on Iberia and my wife's seat wouldn't recline on the overnight flight.
The AVE train is a bit better than normal and probably the best way to get between major metro areas.
For a honeymoon, San Sebastien might be a great place to start or end your week. Two bays, a charming old town, mountains, and a castle.

I'd suggest 4 cities instead of 5 so you aren't traveling as much. It would also give you time to take an interesting day trip out of each city.
I think Madrid and Barcelona should be definites for Spain.
The Prado in Madrid is a top-notch art museum and the food and drink scene is a lot of fun. My favorite spots were around Plaza de Santa Ana. Toledo is a quick easy day trip from here.
Barcelona is like if Florence and Miami had a kid - stay near the old cathedral and spend your evenings after dinner and too much cheap wine wandering the winding alleys trying to find your way back to your hotel. A lot of the beach towns mentioned above could be day trips from Madrid, but I haven't been to any of them.
In Portugal, I really enjoyed Lisbon. I thought the food was relatively inexpensive but tasty. If you go here, be sure to try to the custard pastries called pastel de nata and end your evening by getting a glass of ginjinha on your way back to your room.
I'd probably add Porto as the fourth stop, though I haven't been there.

Not a lot of bad ideas in here, but will add that Seville is worth a detour. Just a great old city with tons of history, great food, walkable, etc…

Seville is also fun - the tapas scene is pretty similar to Mardid, and you can do a day trip to Tangiers, though that requires renting a car to drive to the coast.

Or do Portugal then Madeira. Stay in Funchal and venture out a different direction each day. We did 8 days back in Jan, fantastic. Can’t help on mainland Portugal or Spain

Yes! Spend a night in Sintra. It is a magical place. We trained over from Lisbon and made a full day of it and still felt like we missed some of it. It was 89 in Lisbon and 76 in Sintra- absolutely wonderful place.
