Dwayne Rudd ripping his helmet off during a play, triggering an automatic unsportsmanlike. And the game can't end on a defensive penalty, so the untimed down gave the other team a game winning field goal.

Dropping the ball before you cross the goal line. That’s the only acceptable answer.

4th and 1 at the goal line on your last possession and you run a fade route...when the receiver only has the endzone as his real estate.

The Seahawks are 1 yard away from winning the Super Bowl and instead of giving it to one of the GOATs Marshawn Lynch they decide to throw. Russ throws an INT to Malcolm Butler and Tommy Boy wins another one

I don’t mind a fade from like 10 yards out if you have an absolutely elite WR
the goal line fade on the other hand, especially on 4th down or a 2 point play is mental

Anyone remember Kevin Riley for Cal trying to run to the endzone with like 13 seconds left down 3 points with no timeouts left in 2007?

ETA: Just saw it had already been posted, don't care so bad it deserves the extra ridicule.

58 years ago Vikings defensive end Jim Marshall ran 66 yards with the football. Making the feat somewhat less impressive is the fact that he ran the wrong way.
Marshall, on October 25, 1964, scooped up a fumble from 49ers running back Billy Kilmer (yes, he was a running back at the time) and sprinted toward daylight. Marshall looked around, apparently surprised that no one was chasing him.
No one chased him all the way to the end zone, where he tossed the ball away and scored two points for the 49ers.

Alabama probably wins.
There is no way Alabama wins that game in OT and Saban knew that. The kick itself, it was a 10% chance of winning and 89% chance of missing, 1% chance of what happened happening. I can't blame Saban for trying to kick it at all, but he does have an annoying Auburn problem whenever they have a winning record

He wasn't the first.
Roy " Wrong Way " Riegels gave Georgia Tech a safety in the Rose Bowl.
Scooping up a fumble and Just 30 yards away from the Yellow Jackets' end zone, Riegels was somehow turned around and ran 69 yards in the wrong direction.
Cal lost the Rose Bowl (1929) 8-7 and Georgia Tech won their 2nd consecutive National Title.

Any play inside the five yard line with the offense in a shotgun

Stoerner from Arkansas fumbling away a likely victory against Tennessee during their 98 season title run is pretty cringe.
Not really.
The nose tackle fricking blasted Arkansas's center so bad that he stepped on Stoerner's foot.
Legit great play by the defense.

I've gotta go with Johnson's over the shoulder no look pass from last year.
Erik Ainge did this against LSU in 2005 from his own end zone and it was picked off for a TD. I’d say that was dumber

The 28th toss-dive of the game that so far has only netted 30 yards.
That is the Dave Radar offense.
