That he is. He is still a solid QB though.

What's the chance that either Daniels or Nussmeier stay absolutely injury free (not at all "nicked up") all season. Likely pretty low. So be happy we've got two guys who Kelly says he's pleased with. Unless he's simply lying to all of us, we are in a pretty decent situation compared to this time the last two seasons. Patience Grasshopper . . .

That's cool an all but JD was getting first teams reps before that point. According to the media

I have a feeling tomorrow's the day. Kelly has his game week presser at Noon.

considering Daniels with his mobility has a higher than average chance of getting dinged, they’re going to want nuss to be ready to roll.
This is not said enough. If the decision is close, it makes more sense to start the more mobile quarterback who is more likely to get hurt and whose playbook has more options with a good backup available than the other way around.

They clarified that they would announce either Monday or Tuesday. Probably tomorrow at noon though, as others have said.

It’s Daniels, until we are down and the offense can’t move the ball, which will inevitably happen.

100% it will be JD as the starter. You're welcome

It was impressive Daniels getting the receivers to put in work with him in cali. I’m impressed with that it shows leadership.
indeed. And it seems to have led to improvement as evidenced in camp and practice. Is worth noting Nuss was there too. What I have yet to find out if this is the same guy/group Burrow went to between 2018-2019.

If he thinks he can win this year- Daniels

If he thinks he can when this year, but he's not so sure...- Daniels

If he thinks this year is a rebuilding year- Daniels...until he is proven right then he plays Nuss

If he knows we are 6-6 or 7-5- Nuss

But as a competitor...he thinks he can Coach well enough this year to win so I suspect the guy with 30 starts over the guy with one.

Daniels
Pretty much it. Other than grasping Denbrock's offense (which we're not truly sure exactly what he has planned) this logic had to be a factor.

Yep

Mobility is great but injury rate increases.

Kelly has officially made his decision on his LSU QB. How does one silence over 100 LSU players and coaches on social media? Kelly is like The Godfather, made them all an offer they can’t refuse.

Because he has made his decision but not told a player about it.

That is the only thing I can think of.
