You know that guy has to be bitter af. He’ll be reliving his college potential in his head for the rest of his life. Most of Miles’ QBs will.

Jennings and Harris at least got to show that they sucked at another team.

Lee should have left after 2008.

Truth is, '09 Lee got a start vs LaTech after JJ got hurt in Bama game. He was pretty bad 35%(?) vs a mediocre team.

I will never forget the West Virginia fans being happy everytime they went on defense in the 2010 game at LSU when Jefferson kept running out on offense. I kept waiting for Miles to put Lee in the game but never did.

That era of LSU football is friggin painful to dive back into. Too many what if’s. Seeing how close some of those Bama games were. Mother fvcker we owe Saban a few more L’s. Now I’m mad at 5:50 am on Friday, great. Stupid Les Miles.

If ever Les Miles got his head out of his own arse, he'd probably still be the HC at LSU.

No he wouldn't

Was Jarrett's Tweet the one deleted by author? I see nothing from @jarrett_lee_12.

His offenses from 2005-2007 weren't "ultra-conservative" for that era.

Not to the extent of 2011, but Miles's conservatism on offense cost us a shot at the title in 2006 and held us back in 2005.

he decided to COMPLETELY change his offensive approach going forward.

This is actually somewhat not true. We were still running spread concepts and spread option into 2010. Sure it was conservative, but we were running a more modern style. In 2011 Miles had success with pure dino ball and THAT is what really ruined him.

I'm talking in terms of formations and style. Miles was always conservative, but we went from running spread with 3/4 WR to a narrow style running 2 TE I-form all the time. That's how he held back an offense like 2013 with Mett, Hill, OBJ, and Landry. You have to work to do that. Bama had a RB playing QB who had a better year than Mett.

He was counting on Mathieu to make a game changing play, that never came.

Yes. 2011 was full of games where it was close until a defensive/ST play turned the tide and it was like NCAA 07 with the momentum bar after that. The SECCG is a perfect example. Our offense/team was pure shite until those punt returns. Then UGA just gave up.

Jarrett Lee's senior stats:

104-167
62.3% (third in SEC)
1306 yards
8.7 ay/a (second in SEC)
14 TD
3 INT (TD/INT ratio was best in SEC)
152.0 rating (best in SEC)

But don't let facts get in your way.

In Lee’s defense he did get thrown to the wolves his freshman year when he wasn’t ready. He was an average SEC quarterback but Miles’ offense didn’t do him any favors.
It was Lee's second season.

It was Jefferson's first season.

The fact is LSU would have lost that Alabama game in 11 if he stayed in and Jefferson was ok until he was "arrested".BTW whatever happened to Josh Johns?
