Happily married for 15 years.

Unfortunately, I’ve been married for 27.

Great thread OP

Just made 13 years of marriage. We have 3 kids and my practice is doing well. I’m very blessed and extremely happy.

After years of being a stupid, selfish man-whore, I got very , very lucky and married the best woman in the world.

Yes, generally speaking, very happy and still in love.

I am happy, but it’s not because of marriage, or any other person. I am happy in spite of this.

I married a woman that is exponentially better than any of my “dream girls”.
We have been married for 12 years and I couldn’t be happier.
Not every day is perfect and we go through tough patches but that is normal.
Our most important aid is that we’ve both married and divorced already and now recognize that 1- God has to be involved and 2- there is no exit ramp

I'm happy with my family. It's my work life that makes me miserable. At least I hope to hang it up in 5 years.

My wife is fantastic. I would be lost without her.

i am, married for 13 years with 3 boys under 12,...i mean its work but its pretty typical for your SO to piss you off, you are going to have disagreements but most of the time happiness is from the inner self. You have to not take things so serious all the time and every little thing isnt the end of the world.

as much as my wife may drive me crazy with here OCD, she is still my best friend and is always there for me, always supporting me and frankly would do anything i needed, she loves me unconditionally and there is not much more to ask for.

other reason people are miserable is because so many see the highlights on social media and think that their life should be like that at all times. People arent putting the lowlights on social media, you are only seeing the good times. stop comparing yourself to them.

in the end, most are miserable because they covet what others have, many times without even realizing it.

I would add to that don't look for your happiness to come from your spouse. Two people who are happy alone can get together and be happy together. It is way harder if you are looking for someone else to "make you happy".

I always am curious abt why so many on here seem so unhappy in marriage. Bad choices or want attention.

We have been married for almost 30 years. We have a happy marriage and since we are empty nesters now, we are traveling a lot more and enjoying each other.

We get along great, and we are both supportive of each pther

Happily married here. We don’t have a perfect marriage but we enjoy each other still all these years later. Embracing the imperfect versions of ourself is a big part of our life view.

Agreed and thanks for posting.

This place is somewhat of a cesspool of negativity and insult.

Happiness is a choice that we make everyday. Before you hit submit on that post, consider its impact
