The fastball was electric and by really good hitters.
Idk if it’s philosophy or what, but sometimes they are just so damn secondary pitch happy with guys that throw 98-99
ETA: and it’s not like Stanek’s fastball gets rocked, opposing batters have a .310 slug against it

It’s just who this team is this year unfortunately. If they were 10% better with RISP this year they’d have the best record in baseball. They get on base, they work pitchers they just can’t drive each other in consistently. Would be sick if the “luck” broke the other way and this team got crazy hot in October but that’s obvs wishful thinking
