Then there also was sportswriter John Feinstein, who was puzzled by the fact that undefeated Hawaii, led by Colt Brennan, and America's only undefeated team that year, did not play Ohio State in the NC game that year!
I recall UGA solved that puzzle easily, then pounded chest they should've been crowned Champs forgetting they were raped by the same UTk LSU beat with a #2 QB in SECCG.

Why? Are you just looking for likes and comments like an old lady new to Facebook showing pics of an ugly kid at a Bar-B-Q?

My opinion based upon combination of championships, wins, abilities, and stats. (Link below has their stats)

There should be a min games started criteria. Which would take out people like Brennan and TJ. Secondly Jefferson is two low his has more wins than any other QBs on this list.

Love what Danny Etling did for LSU but he is not in front of Mett

I’m not sure what you’re smoking to not have Anthony Jennings above Joe Burrow.

Josh Booty: excellent morals and character, but a mediocre QB.

Que? Josh was a douche and an a-hole known by anyone who was ever around him for a few minutes. Many players did not like him which isn’t good for a qb.
Maybe your thinking of Abram Booty? Abram was a great guy with high character. Or you’re making a joke that went over my head?

Not necessarily a QB-by-QB ranking, which can be very subjective, but here is how I'd group them.

Elite QBs (had everything):
Joe Burrow

Championship QBs (good enough QB to play a major role in winning titles):
Matt Flynn
Matt Mauck

Great Talent, Lots of Wins (skills and intangibles, but lacked major hardware):
Jamarcus Russell (strong arm and great size)
Rohan Davey (an argument could be made given his role in 2001 SEC title)
Zack Mettenberger (strong arm and great size)
Josh Booty (strong arm, but inconsistent)

Solid Competitors:
Danny Etling
Max Johnson
Jarrett Lee
Myles Brennan (injury prone)

Mediocre QBs:
Jordan Jefferson (did win an SECCG, but more due to surrounding cast)
Brandon Harris (too inconsistent and erratic)
Marcus Randall

Too Little to Judge:
TJ Finley
Anthony Jennings
Andrew Hatch

Max is behind Brennan and Lee. Lee had a great year (with the exception of the Alabama game) and helped bring LSU to the national championship game while JJ was suspended for curb stomping some student

LSU had the better overall body of work, which is why they got in over UGA. The choice was correct.

If Booty stayed for 2001, he wins the Heisman on the way to an undefeated national championship season. He probably throws 60 TDs to Josh Reed alone.

Booty was 1st team ALL SEC! All you idiots ranking him so low are retarded. Or just too young to remember how great he was. So many haters lol.

Jefferson isn’t the winningest QB in LSU history, he’s not even top 5.

I have never met Josh personally, but I've known his mom ever since high school and I think she would be shocked to read that anyone ever had anything but the highest regard for him.
