OP loses all credibility over the Jamarcus Russel rating. He was #1 until Burrow showed up, easy. People only remember his NFL flame out but in college, Russel is closer to Burrow in skill than he is to anyone else on that list.

I would put Rohan in front of Jamarcus. Jamarcus was great and all but he didn’t always make the smartest decisions.

What I remember about booty is so many perfectly thrown balls dropped. And when is backup was in the same guys dropping would make circus impossible catches .

Josh Booty: excellent morals and character, but a mediocre QB.

Andrew Hatch started 5 games, IIRC. I know he got hurt vs. Georgia but he came in relief after Jarrett threw one of his patented pick-6's.

Not that I am a big fan, but the winningest QB in LSU history at #12, behind Max, and Myles.

I put Mauck and Flynn ahead because they won championships, Russell didn’t.

Flynn was lucky to even play in a Natl Championship Game. 07 team really didn’t do anything that different than the 06 team. Just everyone else lost and LSU squeaked in.

I would too. Lot of people in here forgetting exactly how good Rohan was.

Not sure if your take is considered controversial or not, but you are not wrong. To be fair, the ‘07 team did win the SEC title game with a backup qb. I don’t disagree with your sentiment though.

And that was really controversial. Many people felt that Georgia (#3 in the BCS poll at the time) was playing the best football of any team in the nation and deserved a shot at The Buckeyes in the championship game, even though the Dogs didn't even qualify for the SEC championship game. Then there also was sportswriter John Feinstein, who was puzzled by the fact that undefeated Hawaii, led by Colt Brennan, and America's only undefeated team that year, did not play Ohio State in the NC game that year!

Yep, 06 team got left out due to Arkansas not losing an SEC game until they faced LSU. 07, 6-2 was good enough to get to Atlanta

Yeah but Georgia can suck a dick though. LSU lost two games in triple overtime while UGA lost to Tennessee by 21 and .500 USCe

Move Mettenberger to six, Myles to seven and I agree with the rest of your list. Well done!

I think it’s close and you could put ZM ahead of DE given a slight edge on QBR. I gave the edge to Etling because of mobility and better athleticism compared to ZM who was an immobile statue in the pocket. The fact Etling is still in the league and ZM is not also confirms in my mind the full talent comparison favoring Etling when looking beyond just arm strength.
