If you were forced to buy a used car right now

Where would you look ? Dealerships , private sellers? I’m seeing some decent deals on Carvana but I know very little about how reputable they are. Mrs jkyles car was totaled thanks to some of Alexandria, LAs finest so we have to find something pretty quick like. Not opposed to driving a couple hundred miles to make a purchase if better deals are to be had elsewhere.
Thanks in advance

First choice is a Honda or Toyota from a private sale, second choice would be from a dealer.

I'd use car gurus and other search sites to find something. I don't care if it comes from a Big dealer, individual or small corner lot, I am buying the car not the seller.

I would get a jdm right hand drive. Theybgot killer deals out there. You can get a land cruiser diesel with 100k miles on it for 20k.

Get a jeep wrangler or Toyota Tacoma. Both hold their value

Carmax. I’ve purchased two vehicles from them. Both times I had a trade in and they gave me fair value.
Both vehicles I purchased lasted past 100,000 miles.
If they don’t have the car you want on the lot they can ship it from another Carmax location.

Omg. That's a lot of miles!

Carmax.
You do realize Carmax vehicles are listed at a premium for the "experience" of buying from Carmax? I wouldn't be opposed to buying a car from them if it was priced right but 99 times out of 100 you can find a similar car priced better. They USE to give a premium for your trade, but now just about anyone will match or beat their offer.

If no dealerships are budging on price, I'd use Carvana.

Carmax is more expensive than Carvana.

Found this out today. By a lot. Car max seems way overpriced.

i'd contact marshawn lynch... heard he's got some hot deals

And I’ll gladly pay that premium instead dealing with the b.s. of a regular dealership.
As I said, both times purchasing from them were good experiences. YMMV.
