My wife genuinely loves her job as an ICU/ER nurse. We are fortunate enough that she could retire right now at 41 but she wants to work.

I know the OT will make their normal remarks, but it is the 100% truth. And she has a gift of doing her job very well. If you're in really bad shape, you'd be very fortunate to have her as your nurse.

Healthcare IT. It's not so much the nature of the job itself that I love. I get to work from home, my boss let's me do my own thing and doesn't really bother me as long as I get my work done, and there's virtually zero stress involved.

My company is super woke though. That's the only negative.

Data analytics at a large commercial bank.

Boring to most but I find the problems I get to solve interesting.

Retired 30 year state wildlife biologist - which I loved aside from dealing with incompetent admin pricks. Now sell hunting, farm, and timber land - which I really, really love.

I'm an accountant also and love it. CPA firm but came up on the consulting side of the house so no audit or tax.

I was in the other thread as a dude who loved his job.

Network Sales Engineer.

Man. 5 of the posts ITT are IT jobs. Maybe there’s something there.

ETA: in the other thread I said “I love my job when I’m doing what I’m hired for. I just don’t like it when I have meetings and busy work to make up for slow times.”

Today I brought that comment up to my boss and he said “you’re right. We need to find ways to make you do more of what we hired you for.”

Hope it pans out.

Self employed Cattle Rancher... I retired at 53 to do this full time instead of trying to hold down another job and run cattle on the side. Enjoy my days but I work a lot of hours.

After job hopping several times, and now being on a team Ive liked for 7 years of the same people, it’s better to know your own team than to keep starting over. The job itself isn’t great, but the people that surround it are, and we keep ourselves off the radar, while having a good time.
