How do you try them out?

I have a Serta from Costco. It came with a 60 day return policy. As far as picking what you want, just go to one of the Mattress Superstore/money laundering fronts that are everywhere and figure out what you want beforehand.

Just laid on the sample in the store.
Nasty when you think about it

I bought a mattress in a box from Amazon for ~$200, and it’s as good as any mattress I’ve ever had. I’m late middle-aged, too.

I bought a tempur pedic from Costco in May. Hated it. Returned it with full refund about 30 days after purchase and delivery. Some crack head showed up and took it away and I got my money back.

Bought a Sealy. We're 60 days in right now if a 90 day policy, and we hate it too. They're picking it up on Monday and I'm waiting for a Casper that will be here this weekend.

I will never buy a mattress from anywhere other than Costco.

Not purchased from Sam’s but picked up freely behind the store. It’s quite comfortable

What happens to all the "slightly used" mattresses that are returned?

It used to belong to Oweo, but don't mind the brown stains.

I’ve long had suspicions about this.

I don't like doing that to stores.

Got one with good reviews from Costco. Turned out to be a good mattress. Still have it. But it’s a 4 years old and probably due for a replacement soon.

We did this when we moved a couple years ago. $300 for a king and it’s been great. Just did a bunch of research on the reviews then pulled the trigger.
