No matter what direction we point a telescope, we always look toward the Big Bang - why?

I’m having trouble wrapping my brain around this.
Say the United States and China each had a “James Webb” kind of telescope on the ground. We both point them in opposite directions towards a patch of the sky at the same time. If both telescopes could see back 13.8 billion years, they’d both see the Big Bang.
So no matter where a telescope looks, it always looks at where light originates from before reaching our current position in space.
But if the universe is expanding and we’re moving “forward,” shouldn’t there be a direction where we’d say, “that’s the direction we’re moving”?
And wouldn’t it show empty space since light from that spot hasn’t existed yet to reach us?
But from what I’ve read, that’s not how it works. Why is that?

Because the universe is expanding at different rates.

Because that’s how God made it

The farther away you look, the older what you see is. So if you are looking billions of light years away in any direction, you are looking at light that is billions of years old.

Idk man. I got nothing. Because light doesn't travel in a straight line?

My understanding is that the "big bang" marks the beginning of the expansion of space outward from a single point in all directions, much like a bubble or a balloon.
From our perspective inside the bubble/balloon, we see the outer "skin" any direction we look.

Its an interesting dichotomy for those who want to use science as an agenda to prove there is no God.
What if its true that the early Church Fathers were correct that the earth is the center of the universe. For those who want to disprove God that would be devastating.

We, in general and in the context of this subject, aren't moving in space, space is moving and we are along for the ride.
The only analogy I can think of as a southerner...
You're fishing in Mobile Bay and have dropped anchor. Your anchor is a good one and additionally it is caught on a pipeline so you aren't going anywhere. But for some reason plate tectonics pushed you 80 miles towards the Yucatan. You are now 80 miles further from Pascagoula, but didn't move.

The Big Bang is not a real thing, it is just a placeholder because science does not know.
It is easier and more logical to believe in God, than the Big Bang.

Bigger question is why the frick do you care? Knowing staring at a light thousands of years old, before it reaches us, is a retarded exercise.
There is nothing we can do about that light anyway. We could see a solar Tsunami heading towards earth, and there is ZERO we can ever do about it. Earth is where it is now, or we will cease to exist, period. We can't start her up and head to "dry land" to escape the Tsunami (example)

And what if the moon was made of cheese....would you eat it?

Because the earth is flat.

It's because you are looking back in time. Everything you see has already happened. We don't have telescopes yet that can see the future.

Maybe; maybe not. Those saying its not true is only based on theory.

If you figure that out you get a Nobel Prize.

It's not back in time. It's across distances. It just takes a long time for the light to get here. His question is if the earth is not the center of the universe, why is there space 13 billion light years in all directions in a 13.8 billion year old universe.

I dont think anyone here is smart enough to give a logical answer to that.
