They were actually examples of the media smearing/slandering DeSantis.

Clicking into those articles they are all warning shots that maybe they should be more worried about DeSantis than Trump

So you have 5 opinion pieces. I read the first link from WAPO. That is more for a hit piece then a promotion of DeSantis. I bet the rest are the same.

Instead of the opinion pieces, show me favorable coverage from the MSM writers. That is when you know they are pushing a candidate.

There are several polls of a hypothetical primary of Trump vrs Desantis, and the media keeps pushing the possibility he will run.

There are several articles painting him as the up and coming to beat Trump, gaining support, out fund raising him.
Search Trump Desantis

quote:

DeSantis is building serious momentum in the Republican Party and not just in Florida.
Over the weekend, he beat former President Donald Trump in the annual Western Conservative Summit 2024 straw poll.

A new University of Nevada in Reno study puts DeSantis neck-and-neck with Trump.

quote:

But, despite that DeSantis denied any presidential ambition and declined to respond to WINK News’ repeated questions about whether he was running.
“I dont’ do straw polls, they just put my name in there,” DeSantis said. “What am I supposed to do? They sell merchandise, I kinda like to get royalties on that.”
His supporters liked that joke.
WINK News asked if he was considering running. With a brief stumble he said, “I don’t… I… I’ve addressed that so many times. So, so go ahead,” then quickly addressed the next question.
DeSantis has repeatedly said he is focusing on his job as governor and that he’s not actively planning a run for the White House in 2024.
But as those rumors continue to swirl and his chances continue to improve, he’s going to get the question again and again.

The media wants Trump to be the nominee because he would be easier to beat

So any written media story about a poll that shows a contender gaining ground against the favorite is now considered "pumping the contender".

Basically any potential political news that is not pro Trump is anti Trump. That is where you MAGA people are at. Thin skinned to say the least.

DeSantis isn't more intelligent than Trump. Jordan Peterson who is also very intelligent commented on how smart Trump was. Trump is smarter than what the media gives him credit for.

I’m not even going to vote for him and you are wrong.

I vowed off voting Republican or Democrat a long time ago, and until one is worth anything net gain, I’m not voting for one.

But you are wrong.

I can totally see his appeal. And maybe he just felt the vibe on Covid and played off that, but he did it perfectly and is one of the more savvy politicians working in a long time.

I get the appeal. And if it were between him and all but maybe one or two democrats and I were forced to vote, I’d vote him.

He has to because it was a stolen election. If that isn't corrected then the United States will be under the boot of the Dems as the one party rule.

Part of me says no but the other part of me looks at his resume and sees it's basically cookie-cutter "how to become a politician" shite.

Here in Florida he is indeed mostly soundbites and low hanging fruit. He talks the talk but I don't know yet if he'll walk the walk and that worries me.

I want Trump to run again. He didn't spend his life following the Ivy league politician blueprint and he's shown he can talk the talk. If Ron starts doing the latter I'd be swayed his way.

Well while you're at it, let us know if there's any difference between Harvard and Yale Law (where most politicians come from) and Wharton Business (where very few do).
