A manhunt is underway after a New Orleans murder suspect fled to Tennessee and reportedly shot a police officer, according to law enforcement sources.
According to the New Orleans Police Department, BJ Brown, 32, shot and killed a woman just before 9:30 a.m. Monday (June 27) in the Iberville Projects on Bienville Street.
The woman was shot multiple times and transported to a hospital where she later died, police say.
Haunting cell phone video of the killing was captured from a nearby apartment window and widely shared on social media. In the video, a man believed to be Brown, armed with an AR-15 rifle, walks up to a female victim, who is already shot and lying nearly motionless in a parking lot, and fires two more rounds into her body execution-style.

question regarding taking the law into your own hands during a similar situation ... When the initial execution style murder was committed, video confirms it was filmed from inside an upstairs apartment. If you witnessed this murder from a parked car or inside another apartment, I'm guessing it would be frowned upon to shoot and kill this dude. Would "fearing for your life" hold up in court ? Or would you likely get charged with murder ?
I completely understand the rationale of dialing 911 and letting the police handle it. However, more probable than not you would be saving other innocent people's lives.

What's the back story here? Why did he shoot the woman in the first place? Did they know each other or were they in some type of altercation before? If he initially attacked her randomly, that's a huge fricking problem. Thugs roaming the streets of NOLA with AR's just shooting randomly is just about the only thing left that we can add to the list of why NOLA is a piece of shite city run by dickheads.
