And that’s the key. It was optional! Nobody was forced to do anything.

This controversy seems so dumb to me. Separation of church and state never should have been interpreted as “a public employee can’t pray while at work”. That’s ludicrous

True.

Of course you realize that Democrats have been attempting to make exactly that case for decades and effectively argued for exactly that in this case.

This is so much the case, pay attention. This ruling will be viewed as a "shift".

He started doing this on his own, just practicing bis faith by himself.Slowly, over time, absolutely no forcing, players started joining him. Then 1-2 Karens complained & he was eventually fired.

School cannot mandate prayer

But you cant stop employees from praying as long as it doesnt significantly distract the workplace

This should be common sense first amendment stuff

This was the easiest decision. It’s pretty black and white when it comes to the 1st Amendment and freedom of religion.
Leftists will lose their mind because they are told to but this is the right call.

Insane that it’s not 9-0. Do liberals really want to dictate where someone can pray?

Have you seen the threats people are making against Thomas and other SCOTUS justices?

It's too bad the FBI is a political gestapo these days. We could use someone to watch out for terror attacks targeting the court. It's looking rough out there.

Welp, time to end tax exemption for churches. Time to pay up like the rest of businesses have to.

The concern was the coach coercing players to pray with him.

Went to a public school in Texas and we always prayed after the game, usually with the opposition and their staff as well.

Never saw anybody complain about it.

I am 31.

Plenty do. My kids school does. No one should have to pray if it voluntarily but you know some people are morons so we have to have this go the the SC

Should have been a 9-0 decision but apparently only conservatives push their values through the SC

2 years in the Biden admin and the only good things that are happening are because of Trump's nominations. I miss the ol orange bastard.
