I would say... That if Bryson gets going and wins a few that could spur the Brooks Bryson rivalry but otherwise Brooks has already said weekly events/practice aren't his priority ( are they going to be now?) When you have weeks between events.. It's really easy to fall into the "I have time later to practice" and it takes a lot of discipline to not fall into that trap...I just don't see that discipline in most of the "stars" ( and there are legit distractions " I'm a multimillionaire and I have a young family" is a great reason to not hit balls ) but the LIV is an opportunity to make lots of money and just bring your "B" or "C" game

I thought the liv was doing better that that.

Edit:

You boys should be able to find more than two downvotes... that's shite effort.

sounds like the last 3 spots will go to #77 Matthew Wolff, #119 Carlos Ortiz, & #2 ranked amateur Eugenio Chacarra.

He is set to, at the least, make more $ in his first pro tournament than Rory McIlroy did for finishing in the top 20 of a PGA event last weekend.

There is smoke on Twitter that your winnings from tournaments actually aren’t winnings, they just count against the players guaranteed money

For example, if player signed a 20 million LIV contract, and wins 2 million, nothing is actually owed to him. He wouldn’t be owed additional winnings until he crossed the 20 million threshold

Now Brandel is tweeting this, and of course there is skepticism coming from him. But Bob Harig, an SI writer who has actually called out Brandel for some of his ramblings, said there is def reports of this being true, but not a single player will confirm or deny anything regarding pay

Now also, liv mouthpiece michael Collins denies it completely, and him and Brandel are close to killing each other. It’s worth going to Twitter to watch these two idiots fight

I would think it is the case for some players and not for others. I know that some potential contracts with lesser known players (who weren’t commanding the huge signing bonuses) stated that they would be guaranteed a certain amount of money per event regardless of where they finished in that event.

I don't understand why anyone, other than the players who have to know this, would even care.

I pretty much stopped watching the last few years. I only may catch the majors here and there.

This whole ordeal has turned me off the tour even more.

Let me multimillionaire athletes whine and complain about being used more. Tough life they live.

Yeh but they don’t have to highlight it.

You are just going to complain about every single thing they do. You're not even ok with how they advertise.

Me too. Unfortunately it will hurt the game in the long run.

Poaching amateur talent is a sure way fo hurt the PGA even more.

Just saw rumors of Ryder Cup Captain Stenson and Fleetwood thinking LIV. That would be interesting.

Yes all these guys will be laughing all the way to the bank...this is life changing money for most of these guys....think about it most of the older golfers....Faldo, Azinger, Miller, Watkins, and most of the guys on the Senior tour they are still playing or doing TV cuz they need money to support the lifestyle these where accustomed too while playing the PGA tour. Brandel Chamblee needs to work cuz he didn't make the kinda of money these LIV boys are gonna make. You watch Faldo will be doing TV for LIV next year!

People laugh at each guy that goes over. Matt Wolfe has been struggling so I get that being a bit of a lame get for LIV, but the #2 amateur in the world was a pretty big get. It's like people don't realize that they are only one tournament in and they are getting talent from all around. If it last, in a year, the field is going to be pretty impressive.

My assumption all along was that it varied by player, and I thought there was some reporting to back that up.
