Where were you in 1988?

My birthday is coming up pretty soon, and I’m just curious, for those of you who were around at that time, where were you in 1988? What was your life like, how old were you? Do you remember anything in particular about your life that year? Favorite movies, music, etc.?

I was in the 5th grade I guess. Playing little league, riding bikes and cruising the neighborhood with friends. Not a care in the world.
