Murphy's is apparently coming back

They closed on a new location on W. Chimes St. yesterday, per the I Miss Murphy's FB page.

I actually swung by campus back when they started demo on Kirby. I walked down Chimes but all I saw was a bunch of run down pieces of shite buildings. Where's this one gonna be?

A guy I know actually took a dump in Murphy’s bathroom once.
In the summer, they’d dump a few inches of sand on the downstairs floor to soak up all the nastiness and the people walking on it would buff the floors. Not much fun when you’re wearing a pair of suede bucks from Todd Garland with no socks.

Unfortunately, it will never be the same...
When I was playing with the Gutter Sharks, first time we played at Murphy's I got carded by the manager... I was 23 and looked like I was 16 at the time...
Best part of the night was the fight that broke right out in front of us playing...
