At that age, none of the places teach much. They're just required to be able to read before entering kindergarten.
At that age, I'd be most worried about the mental influences the particular daycare engrains upon a child.

My daughter just finished pre-k 4 at St George. She loved it.

What? I'm not sure I know of any kindergarten program that requires a child that age to be able to read after coming out of pre-school.

for fall of 2022? If so you are a getting in on this a little late.
for fall of 2023? Go to some open houses next year. Dunham, Parkview, Trinity, St. James, depending on your part of town check out a few of the Catholic schools.

Prolly go private route till kid is old nuf to get tested and hit the gifted curriculum in public schools. Mine went to Trinity Episcopal till 2nd grade and it was great! Was Parkview Elementary Gifted after that.

We have been happy at Cross Point Baptist on airline by highland. Been Mother’s Day out prior but will be in Pre-K4 next year. They go through kindergarten

There are good places all over town. It just depends on what is convenient to your work and/or home.
If I had to do it over again, I would have kept my kids in daycare until kindergarten. A good daycare is no different than a pre-k except they don't close for the summer and a week at a time for the holidays. My kid's daycare would close 2 days for thanksgiving, 2 days for christmas, and one day for new years. Those three holidays were 5 days combined. A pre-k will close at least 15 days for those three holidays. Now add up Mardi Gras, Easter, summer, etc and you are spending a fortune having someone watching your kid when the school is out.

Several of my friends' kids did (and still do, for elem) St. James. They all rave about it.

Baton Rouge is a sewer. Move to Livingston or Ascension.
