In honor of the SEC Tournament this week, I have combed through the rosters of all 14 teams to find all the travel ball names for your amusement.

There are many in the list below; some increasingly common, others quite unique. The time-tested Southern tradition of having your first name be a last name was also on full display. If this list is any indication, we should have several Brayden Jr’s playing college baseball in about 25 years.

In alphabetical order by school:

Brayden, Braylon, Caden, Camden, Davis, Grayson, Kade, Trace, Zane

Arkansas
Braydon, Cayden, Heston, Jalen, Jaxon, Kole

Brody (x2), Brooks (x2), Bryson, Cade, Kason, Konner, Sonny (Italian for “baw”), Trace

It’s pretty amazing how the travel ball name joke has become a reality after time passed.

There are a lot of really old and classic names mixed in there.

People confuse “more popular among white people with sons in the 2010s” with “travel ball”

Trayton would be a travel ball name. Praxton would be a travel ball name.

Cade and Brooks aren’t travel ball names. Those are just names.

You guys would accuse Adam of giving Cain and Abel travel ball names

Kason Howell gets my vote for #1 overall, with Kavares Tears as the strongest contender.

John Thrasher, Kentucky

Had a local politician by that name, who ended up doing several years as FSU's president. Had to double check they weren't related
