So have we discussed Brenner surviving the demigorgon AND 001’s rampage ?
You’d think he’d be the first guy 001 would look to snap in 72 pieces

Just watched the rest of it. Wow, I don't think I've ever seen a stronger recovery from a horrible season than this show.
The writing improved dramatically, but there were a couple of authenticity mistakes, the kind of errors they've made before. For example, people didn't start saying things were 'metal' until long after the 80's, and not even black dudes were getting girls' 'digits' back then.
Aside from minor stuff like that, the re-invented storyline is great. I still think they should call it a day after this season, but I can't wait for the conclusion of this one.
The shite they have to dress Nancy in to keep her from looking like a skeleton is getting out of control. That square head on her lollipop body makes her look like Nancy Reagan, and I hope but doubt that she gets help for the coke problem. Speaking of which, Jonathan seems to have a limited role this season, and the show re-igniting the flame between Nancy and Steve might be a signal that Charlie Heaton has or will be served his walking papers.

The characters in the film industry generally always have that depiction. Kids are open minded and will find the answers and the stubborn old parents are bad and ignorant unwilling to believe the open-minded enlightened children.

Nor I.
It is definitely in last place and not quite up to the quality of the first two (and now this one), but it was still pretty good.
I think part of the issue was how much the main kids had changed/grown and they had to account for that.

I disagree with that completely. Magic shows are clearly meant for children because they are more likely to be enthralled by the performance. Same reason most fictional shows target children, including shows with talking animals and magic.
Children are also more inclined to believe a lot of stupid things that couldn't possibly be true.
One of the hallmarks of a post-modernists is that all wisdom gained from the past is rooted in ignorance and evil and therefore must be completely disregarded (all traditional behaviors rootoed in age-old wisdom are bad and oppressive). This idea is so overly expressed in most Hollywood media its not even funny.
It doesn't workout in reality.

I don’t know anybody that hated it either. Not as good as some of the other seasons =\= terrible. But given some of the folks making the comments, I’m sure there’s more to it.

I liked Season 3 too.
Imo:
Season 1 = 10/10 (one of the best seasons of any show I’ve watched)
Season 2 = 5/10 (hated the Eleven in Chicago stuff)
Season 3 = 8/10
Season 4 = 9/10

Where tf did this melt come from?

I'm not the target audience for this show, but the plot structure was a mess this season and the acting took a noticeable drop as well. But I think my biggest hangup is the runtimes. Somewhere around the 50 minute mark, my brain just switches from "this is a great TV episode" to "this is a bad movie".

Why does it bother you so much that GLAAD an LGBT+ company wants more representation? I mean as long as the characters are written well as all characters should be their sexuality shouldn’t matter. But some of you on this board have their weird fixation on gay characters
Because all this shite centers around Marxism. We are being forced to accept this when nobody wants this shite

In what universe are you living does having diverse characters equal Marxism

No and your warped perception of morality doesn’t want this so you grasp at literally anything that justifies your own hatred.
A gay character who’s entire character is being gay is definitely shite writing but a well written character is a well written character. Grow up and stop acting like a child

On episode 4 and I’m digging it but Robins character is pretty shitty now.
She was good in season 3 but she sucks in 4.

On episode 2 - staying out of this thread for now until I complete the first part of the season.
But did they shoot this differently? Everyone's complexion looks terrible (greasy, pimples, all of the blemishes, etc.). Eleven and Nancy especially, but almost all of them look bad.
