I doubt Steve and Eddie are coked out but you can almost look at Jonathan and Nancy and how they look on the show and in real life and tell they’re lining up daily.
I wouldn’t doubt if Millie is too unfortunately. She’s always given off the vibe since Season 2 that she wanted to be older than what she was. Always hanging with the older crowd, dressing like she’s in her late 20s, etc. And she’s practically begging to be done with the show because she’s been asking to be killed off. I think she’s tired of playing a kid both in the show and real life

I'm a couple of episodes into the new season and underwhelmed, thus far. When you make fans wait over 1,000 days for new episodes, you've gotta do better than this.
Everyone looks much older than the ages they're meant to portray. Will is awkward and entirely unlikable. Why wouldn't he stand-up for Jane?!
The mean girl and the doped-up metal-head are such ham-fisted caricatures.
The story is extremely derivative of A Nightmare on Elm Street, well past the point of homage.
The handsome jock being given the floor at the pep rally and cutting an uninterrupted WWE promo was ridiculous. That never happens.
So much of the extra run time of these episodes feels like unnecessary padding. We needed to see Joyce try and fail to crack a porcelain doll?
Anyways, I hear things pick-up near the end, so I'll keep on trucking.

I just finished it, I liked it, but I gotta admit….those kid death scenes they showed over and over kind of wore on me. I don’t like how much gorier this season went. Previous seasons were a solid PG-13 level, but this stuff was rough.
It wasn’t the Vecna death scenes, or the demagorgon shredding, just showing the dead kids with their eyes sucked out over and over and over and over and over again just got to be a bit much. I liked the level of gore/violence they stayed at in the first 3 seasons better.

Just finished and I loved the Hawkins storyline. Was completely bored by CA and Alaska storylines, to the point I began fast forwarding through them.
Hopefully, everyone gets back to Hawkins for the last 2 episodes

I’m not reading through the whole thread to see if this was theorized already, but anybody else think maybe it was Vecna who originally kidnapped Will?
Seeing the Demogorgon ravage in Russia reminded me how much of a blood thirsty creature it is. It’s not going to pick up Will and take him with it, it would’ve slaughtered him on the spot and ate him. Also, when Will was hiding in the shed the chains he had locking the door were unlocked via telekinesis, which the Demogorgon does not do.
Will be curious if they reveal Vecna is actually who took him.

I really hope they don’t retcon to this level. The demogorgon was the perfect villain for season 1, and he was established as basically an interdimensional shark. If the demogorgon doesn’t pop in and out of the upside down at random and drag his victims to his world, he becomes more like a bear then a shark. And that’s what makes sharks scarier IMO than bears. As far as humans are concerned, sharks are interdimensional beings. It’s brilliant.
Demogorgon was just a natural predator, with the added fear factor of lurking beneath the surface of our dimension where he can’t be seen until it’s too late. I love Vecna, but we don’t need to dumb down the Demogorgon to hype him up any more. I hope there is another explanation for why Russiagorgon can’t access the Upside Down.

I have a feeling the rooskie demigorgon is gonna be feeling some kind of way after getting outfoxed by Hopper and Enzo (wonder what his real name is) and goes apeshit inside the prison which helps Hop, enzo Joyce and Yuri escape.

To the people who were calling this show game of thrones and lost 
I expect an apology.
What an amazing season so far. Definitely on par with season 1 and in some aspects better. The horror tone is perfect this season with Vecna. The only character I don’t like anymore is Jonathan. He doesn’t have a story anymore and is just lame older looking guy misplaced
Eddie is such a great new character. Him and Steve are amazing. I really liked that cute cheerleader and wasn’t expecting her to go so fast like that. Episode 4 with Kate Bush song was how music can make a scene go from good to excellent. Scrubs was perfect at that finding a song that isn’t hugely popular and throwing it at you in this emotional way. Max is fantastic. Will is still a pussy and Mike looks strange in his puberty stage. Episode 7 was one of the best of the series. Money well spent on production this season. I knew they had an end game. I like Robin better last season. She was confident and not afraid and this season she’s the opposite and they made her less attractive. I was not expecting the creepy guard to be 001 much less the son. We were all waiting if this long drawn out 11 storyline in the lab was gonna pay off and did it ever. The final 10 minutes was superb television. This is one of the best series created when you tie in the 80’s vibe, music/soundtrack, and nostalgia that comes with it.
