Well here's something I haven't heard yet. Nutshell - people outside the school during the shooting were yelling at police to go inside and do something during the active shooting. When cops didn't go in some of the bystanders thought about going in.

Let's remember here all reports have said the killer had killed all 21 people before the police decided to take him down.

quote:

Witnesses said that loved ones and onlookers anxiously waiting outside Robb Elementary School on Tuesday as the gunman was inside shooting teachers and students urged police who were outside the school to go in and try to stop the shooter.

Some also suggested they take it upon themselves to try and stop the shooter.

Texas Department of Public Safety Director Steve McCraw said the gunman could have been in the school for 40 minutes to an hour.

"Go in there! Go in there!" a woman shouted to officers soon after the shooting happened, witness Juan Carranza, 24, said. He lives across the street from the school. "There were more of them. There was just one of him," he said.

But he said the officers stayed outside.

Javier Cazares went to the school after hearing about the shooting because his daughter went to school there.

He said he suggested a group of civilians "rush in because the cops aren’t doing anything like they are supposed to. More could have been done. They were unprepared."

His daughter, Jacklyn Cazares, died in the attack.

Damn. That is horrible if true. It is doubtful they could have prevented deaths (I would anticipate the majority of the killing was already over) but you should assume there is still a chance.

Pretty hard to believe as some of the LEOs' own kids attended there, and one died. But maybe so.

So you are blaming the Police? Should be blaming the shooter's parents for their horrible parenting. Civilians rushing into a live fire situation would just lead to more casualties. Granted the Police should go in...but not until they have information on what they are going into. Running blindly into an active shooting usually does not end well.

You do realize that real life is not like a Law and Order episode.

But an 18 year old armed psycho waltzed right in to the school?
"The bottom line is law enforcement was there," McCraw said. "They did engage immediately. They did contain (Ramos) in the classroom."
How did that work out?

It's a repeat of what happened in Broward County where the sheriff had to be removed from office for ordering his men to stand down while a gunman shot up a school.

You guys, these things are false flag shootings. These shooters are groomed and handled by feds. The purpose of them is to shock the American people enough to be willing to give up their 2A rights. It's fricking obvious and the longer people keep their heads in the sand about it the longer we aren't addressing the real issues at play here.

And yes, cops can be in on it. Really it only takes one. The chief. Like Scott Israel in Florida. He ordered his men to stand down and they did, even though they didn't want to. If I remember correctly, eventually one of the good cops went in anyways. You don't need to have a bunch of corrupt cops. Just the ranking officer.

The UK independent reported that the school resource officer confronted then retreated from the shooter giving him access to the classroom.

There is a reason most departments have started issuing AR15's, so that police have the firepower and distance capabilities needed for dealing with threats like this. You don't have time to wait for SWAT.

That’s really terrible but if there is shooting going on at my kids school and I’m outside there is nothing that will stop me from going in. Nothing.

If this is true then these cops should be outed as cowards

I don't care what your orders are, if someone is killing children you act

If all you accomplish is the shooter is focused trading rounds with you as opposed to shooting kids it's a win

Having been in real situations I wouldn’t hesitate even though the shooter had a rifle. I know I am better pistol shot at close quarters than 95% of the country. Plus I have done CQB and trained CQB. The shooter likely had played CoD. I’d bet a paycheck that I come out on top.

Fox News putting Kamala on as a mouthpiece for the shooting; pathetic.

In my agency during an active shooter situation, who ever is first on scene makes entry into the location and eliminates the threat. The other officers responding set up a perimeter and you have communication over the radio giving intel to the incident commander as you clear rooms. Your goal is to stop the killing as soon as possible. After seeing pictures of guys standing on the perimeter wearing plate carriers and carrying M4s it makes me wonder did that department even train for such a scenario? Did they even communicate with the school officer who first engaged him? Did the supervisors on scene make the call to isolate and contain, which goes against any active shooter/CQB training I’ve ever been to? All three? It’s an epic frick up from what I can see and a total failure by that Department and it cost innocent children their lives.

I thought the "new" training method after Sandy Hook was for the officers to immediately go to the sound of the gun shots and stop the threat with ZERO hesitation.

Wait so who actually killed the shooter? I thought officers were shot? Not seriously injured but still.
