LSU will have more blood on their hands before this is over. Biggest loser will be Saban and his legacy as the “greatest”.

If you didn't live through those days, you shouldn't voice criticism.
The top talent was consistently going out of state.
Bobby Bowden at Fla St won a National Championship with a Baton Rouge running back, ALL American, Warrick Dunn.
Tennessee won a national Championship with a Louisiana Linebacker, All SEC, Raynoch Thompson.
I can remember when the starting QB at T A&M, Alabama, and Ole Miss were all from Louisiana.
Damn glad Saban got it turned around.
I suspect Saban would have brought us Peyton Manning, if he had bee HC.
Saban, like Wade, was playing with the same recruiting play book as the other winning HCs.

I know two guys who got Camaros for going to LSU; one reneged on his commitment so they gave him another one for his mom and he recommitted.

Who cares. Boosters have been buying players since at least the 1940’s when the NCAA instituted rules making monetary inducements a violation. Now that the courts have ruled that athletes can be compensated for their NIL, nobody is going to care about a rule that was broken decades ago that is no longer an NCAA violation.

bucky Richardson AM Broadmore

major Applewhite UTx Catholic

I was Warrick's Dunn's teammate at Catholic although I was a senior on that 90 dome team and he was a Soph. LSU was so far down on the level of elite tier schools back then, no one expected him to stay at LSU.

Yep People laughing about why someone would have chosen Michigan at that time over LSU are clueless. Michigan had won a natty just a few years earlier and LSU hadn't sniffed even an SEC title since the 80s

But it's pretty shitty to make the accusation about a guy that isn't around to defend his name.

no you just making a straw man argument. he shouldn't have broken rules when he was alive if he didn't want people to talk about it after he passed. that's on him, not the people talking about it.

Edwards should shut up talking about people who can not speak for themselves.

Hill trolled Michigan. He committed there and he hadn’t even been on campus to visit. I remember an article written about it, Michigan coaches were stunned.

I know a guy that got a similar offer from JT Curtis back in the 80's.
