To make it legal to abort a baby up until the day it is born.

This is from Dana Perino on the Five today.

Just how much more evil can you get than that? Schumer will answer to God eventually if this bill passes, which I think it won't.

Clay and Buck were discussing this.

It's so radical that even Murkowski and Collins don't support it.

I think this is just to get the GOP on record.

The vast majority of America does not support full term abortion. Repubs will vote against. Most already claim to be pro-life. Go ahead. Put the dems on record for supporting full term abortion. This will turn off lots of middle of the road people.

That is all the master plan, introduce a bill so absurd that it won't pass and then blame the Republicans for it

What a hack.

His father ran the kind of deli where if you weren’t watching they’d slice off a bunch of fatty, putrid pastrami for your sandwich and give you a shite eating smile while they charged full price.

Not even enough time for them to draft something that would remotely make sense

They are kidding right? I'd be willing to bet less than 5% of America thinks that's acceptable outside of a medical emergency.

That would just be dumb.

Even the hardest core lefties I know don't support that.

I honestly don't know anyone who supports late term abortion.

I don't support abortion but I don't think it is the political hill to die on to completely outlaw it, but this, this should be stopped 100%.

I agree with passing it through Congress although completely disagree with the idea of late term until it’s born shite. Hell never get it passed because of that, such a complete dumbass.

They filed cloture on this bill in February. It got 46 votes and that was with Roe still in force. Even if it somehow got 60 votes for cloture this time there is no constitutional authority for a federal law about abortion so it's D.O.A

What a sick evil idiot. The people supporting this are already fringe rabid left. That wins them zero votes. What it does is absolutely frick the middle left/moderates.

So that’s awesome. Thanks Schumer, you scum human.

From a purely political standpoint, this is insanely stupid.

1. It has no hope of passing.
2. It calls for absolutely zero restrictions on abortion up to the moment of birth.

The first reason is reason enough for this to be stupid. But reason 2 is what takes the cake. This idiot thinks he’s making Republicans go on record as being “anti-choice”. But what he’s really doing is forcing Democrats to either go on record as “anti-choice” or go on record for being in favor of abortion on demand with zero restrictions up to 9 months. And polls show that while most Americans support some choice, the number of Americans who support zero abortion restrictions is close to zero. So either these Democrat senators face alienating their Democratic base, or face losing all but the hard-left of their base, not to mention independents.

So go ahead Shumer, paint you and your party into that corner. Die on that hill you idiot.

The only way it passes is to kill the filibuster.
