The left keep pushing back with rape and mother's life arguments

Defending Roe vs. Wade...
I'm curious what the board's position is relative to when you would support abortion in certain circumstances?
I think if a young woman is raped she should take the morning after pill to to avoid any pregnancy... waiting 6 weeks for a pregnancy test is not a good decision. Do women do this? What advice are they being given by medical professionals?
With regards to an emergency where the mother's life is on the line I think the mother should absolutely choose her life or the babies or in some cases if the mother doesn't survive then all is lost.
80% of abortions are just young unmarried women being careless and not ready for the responsibility of raising a child...

Those account for way less than 1% of abortions.

I'm against it in every situation.
The "mother's life" argument is nonsense. If there is actually a question of possibly dying, that's an actual medical procedure, not an abortion. That was legal before Roe and that hasn't changed.

Sounds contradictory to their philosophy on deadly side effects and the covid vaccine

Ask them if they’re ok with banning abortions for any other reason.
If they’re not, those reasons are the excuse for legalizing it for convenience and they truly don’t care why a woman is killing her child.

The current medical practice is to offer emergency contraception to rape victims along with testing for possible STDs.

This is the argument the left likes to pose Bc they know the pro-life crowd views the plan B pill the same as traditional abortion. They BOTH terminate a pregnancy it’s just the plan b pill is not nearly as gruesome in nature as physically ripping apart a baby with a face and a heartbeat in the womb.
That being said, this potential decision DOES NOT eliminate the plan b pill and the OP is right in the sense of if the person who was raped does not want to have the raper’s baby and does not have a moral objection to the plan b pill then why not take it immediately after. I guess this is assuming this person wasn’t also held captive for several weeks after being raped.

Then put the baby up for adoption?
The left would be amazed to find out there are indeed other options and murdering an innocent life isn’t the only choice

Yea, I would think Plan B is the go to.

It's a difficult issue, which is why it's so polarizing. From a pure moral standpoint, I believe abortion is wrong, end of discussion. However, when it comes to things like rape or incest, there is definitely a gray area. It's easy to say take Plan B or something, but that really overlooks the state of mind that someone would have after experiencing something that traumatic.
That said, if you make any kind of exception to a law, there are guaranteed to be hoards of vultures who will try to exploit it in any way possible. There would for sure be professional abortion lawyers taking advantage of it, thousands of women claiming they were raped when they weren't, etc. It would open a huge can of worms.

I ain’t worried about a damn thing the left is doing, except to the extent that I would like to observe and witness any meltdown in progress. For posterity’s sake.
I’m just not feeling it for them. I don’t think this is where they suddenly pull their heads out of their asses and suddenly start in earnest looking like they have some clue what they’re doing. As opposed to literally making the exact opposite of the most prudent move every time. They ain’t just gonna flip a switch on that.

This it is literally self defense and is even acceptable in most religions.

Abortion should never be legal, in any circumstance.

While I think most people agree with the life of the mother argument, there has to be some sort of safeguards against corrupt doctors. You can easily see radical doctors giving abortions on demand and just saying that the woman has some sort of bogus life threatening “mental illness."
I remember reading a story about a Michigan law that allowed minors to get abortions without parental consent in extraordinary circumstances if a judge determines that the minor could be in danger if her parents were to find out. Well the corrupt pro-abortion lawyers would file these Jane Doe cases to get abortions for minors without parental consent. They knew exactly which corrupt judges would simply rubberstamp ANY application. So, if they weren't assigned one of these corrupt judge, they would simply withdraw the application and keep re-applying until they got one of the corrupt judges.
Nothing was ever done and the practice continues to this day.

Simple answer:
Okay, if I agree that rape and incest victims are free to abort, will you agree that all others are not?
The answer: REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Rape and incest are emotional arguments for abortion rather than logical ones. If the child is human, and if the child is alive, then it doesn’t matter how it got there.

A rapists baby? 9 months of a growing reminder of the worst event in a woman’s life.

Easy peasy. Leave it up to the states.

It's bullshite. Absolutely NOBODY wants women's lives to be jeopardized by pregnancy and ANY doctor will tell you that the woman's life is given priority in the case of a medical emergency arising from pregnancy or childbirth. Nothing that is happening changes any of that.
