Republicans/GOP are their own worst enemy.

BATON ROUGE - Louisiana House Bill 837, a bill that would restrict discussion of sexuality and gender identity in public schools, died in committee Tuesday afternoon.
The vote comes less than a week after Florida approved a similar bill preventing discussion through grade 3.
Florida's bill, referred to by some as the "Don't Say Gay" bill, says "classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards."
HB-837 would have restricted discussion through grade 8, making it more restrictive than Florida's. The bill would have also prohibited teachers and school employees from discussing their own orientation with students through grade 12.
Four House Democrats and three Republicans voted against the bill.

Anyone who loves their children doesn't send them to Louisiana public schools anyways.

If this stuff hits my childs 3rd grade classroom next year…I will be arrested.

So 7 out of 11 in the committee are pro grooming children. Got it.

I used to joke that Louisiana was like living in a third world country.
At this rate, you'd be better off living in an actual third world country.

We need the names of the Rinos.
And, just a note, these people are the reason we have Honor Code as governor.

Are you all really in favor of teachers being punished for even mentioning that they are married and have a wife/husband?
This wording is that straight or gay discussion is prohibited.

Do we know who they are? I don't give a frick about the groomer democrats, but I'm curious which RINO scum voted against this.

I do not recall discussing in class about teachers private lives as pertaining to class.

When I was a kid, I had no idea most of my teachers had first names, let alone if they were straight or gay. They could have lived at school for all I knew.
One of the biggest problems is just how familiar teachers have become with kids over the years, which is why the thought of keeping their damn personal life to themselves is unheard to them. Couple this with a huge dose of Millennials and Gen z now teaching who NEVER EVER EVER shut up about themselves and simply sticking to the curriculum is basically impossible.

No wonder it failed. Why not just keep it exactly like the Florida bill? That’s why the Florida bill passed with bipartisan support and why LA’s couldn’t even get out of committee. Stupid move.

perhaps things have just changed. Believe it or not, some teachers actually really care about their students and want them to do well. Research has shown over and over that forming a good relationship with students produces much better results overall.
Seems like you would be very happy with just online classes taught by a recording though.

Yes.
They should stfu and teach like they're paid to do. I didn't know shite about my teachers' private lives, even in High School.
Quit trying to re-live their school days by being friends with fricking children...that's why so many of them are fricking their students today.
