I do still miss the separate messenger programs like that & icq. Everyone moved to Facebook and I'm just meh to that whole thing.

I was there BEFORE AIM.

AOL CHATROOMS. I was doing it when it was still a stigma and everyone of us was living in our moms basement.

Can’t lie, I landed a lot of arse back then too. I can’t imagine how I would have done if I had the tools everyone has today.

Total game changer for fantasy football. We’d totally trash people when things would go south for them during Monday night fb

I remember AOL worked better you connected via a different ISP. AOLs local dial up nodes were 2400 only.

GOAT.

I remember chat rooms. When I was 8 I went into a heavily moderated chat room and cussed someone out and our service was suspended. My mom made me write an apology letter to AOL.

Good times

So much action from that app. It really was a hookup app eventually and it was glorious

Also, an original AOL chatroom user here as well, I'll even go one step further, right before AOL my dad had a service called Prodigy and it was the awesome.

Basically a forum like TD tbh, similar to bbs systems
