I tried it and definitely not as good as everyone hyped it to be.

No. Just... No.

If I wanted to eat a whole stick of green onion...I'd buy it. They don't even try anymore since the old location burnt.

I think Eunice is better. But the best in that area is Mel's on 13.

To me:

Eunice Superette
T-boy's
Billy's (opelousas)

The boudin balls with melted pepper Jack cheese in them are awesome.

I also learned that if you take Polynesian sauce from CFA and pour that on those, it is heavenly

Been said in thread a few times

The pepper jack "wraps" (basically a boudin/jack egg roll) are for sure up there as well.

I'm from the area, but now live in the place where Jerry Lee's is the pinnacle. You got the better end of this boudin deal.

I haven’t had much south la boudin, but the best I’ve had is boudin noir from Bourgeois.

I’m not sure why more people don’t make boudin noir, it tastes so much better.

You sir, are incorrect! Billy’s has the best boudin in South Louisiana, hands down! The meat to rice ratio, the texture, the spices, etc., everything blends together so well. And the boudin balls…the outside is like fried chicken skin and the insides are just pure goodness. I don’t get cracklins often, but am never disappointed when I do get them. I know the lines at Billy’s can be long, but it’s worth the wait. Also, don’t you think there’s a reason why there are usually long lines at Billy’s? Because they’re the best.

Haven't had kartchners yet, and I thought it was pretty bold if them to drop shop right in the middle of all of them.

It was no accident and they easily are in the top three. Peoples opinion of what is good varies. Kartchners has a bolder flavor and the staff in Scott is much more pleasant than Dons in Scott. Weird thing is that the staff at Dons in Carencro is friendly.

I swear in Scott, you can almost see them roll their eyes when customers walk in.

Kartchners has the best service.

The Best Stop boudin was full of grease and gristle last time I ate there.

Their cracklings are the best though
