Look, I think Disney sucks, but if you are going to talk about the amount of money Disney saves from this then they should also talk about how valuable Disney is to the state of Florida.

What if Disney up and announces they purchased a huge amount of land in South Carolina and will be building a brand new park and closing the one in Florida?

On top of that they don't sell the land preventing anyone else from establishing something else there.

A lot of businesses will follow Disney because that's where the people would be.

Florida needs Disney more than Disney needs Florida. Let's just call this what it is, DeSantis playing politics. Doing shite that will be popular with the base he will need support from on a nationwide scale. Its the things you do if you want to have a chance to represent your party as the presidential candidate.

This is probably more about making headlines than anything.

How much money would Disney have to spend on land alone to do this?

How much on materials and wages for construction?

How many years between laying out the initial payments and seeing ANY return on investment?

And is SC significantly different from Florida politically? If nothing else, it is worse from an income tax perspective.

This is true BUT so is Disney - they shouldn’t have a say in what is taught in Florida schools (which they don’t really but they were stirring up shite), they shouldn’t go against Florida state law and require the Covid vaccination for their employees, and Florida has a lot more going for it besides Disney

who started the headlines?

the people that labeled a bill "don't say gay?" or the corporation that decided to make a press release about a bill that says "don't address gender identities or sexual preference for kids younger than 9?"

You are literally too dumb to insult.

But that won’t stop me from doing so.

What if you didn’t post insanely stupid things on a regular basis? We all know that’s not possible, but it’s still more likely than what you posted above.

No way they could pull off that amount of land purchased in a concentrated area in the Eastern US without getting absolutely reamed in cost not to mention everyone and their brother jumping in to buy it first to have a nice spot inside the new Disney park.

Wiki stats show the planned America park in the 90s in Virginia would have been under 200 acres. WDW is something like 25000 acres, only half currently used. Disney will not replicate that again on this side of this country, it took a shite ton to do it when they did and that part of the state was empty as shite.

WDW is way too valuable to them, they will fight this in the courts. This will probably be battled out there for a decade or two.

Plus they can always buy local politicians to make life easier on themselves.

Hey retard, it gets cold in S. Carolina. Real cold. So cold you won’t want to go ride the rides or watch the parades. And it don’t just happen once a year. That’s not good for revenue.

Disney ain’t gonna find what it’s got anywhere else east of the Mississippi. They are fricked. And they did it to themselves.

Your capacity for stupidity is apparently limitless.

Florida doesn't need Disney. Pro-business, great weather, good taxes, growing population - Florida will do just fine with or without Disney.
