Wow it’s gotten bad. Just now they had beggars on every corner.

What can legally be done about this? Can we physically remove them from the city? Possibly relocate/bring them to Mississippi?

I’m very annoyed with homeless people and I don’t have any sympathy for their situation. It’s either mental illness, drug/alcohol addiction or a combination. Either way I truly don’t care.

I wish this country would crack down on it. Hell bring them to Mexico. For every illegal that comes in the country we should deport a homeless person.

Yes I’m a NIMBY

I think we should legally be allowed to throw eggs at them. They’ll eventually leave

If officers made an attempt to detain them, people would video it and bash them and smear their names all over social media.

The 1st step is to remove all convenient stores within a 1-mile radius, that way you shut off their Big Gulp providers. The 2nd step is to blow up that crack motel just set back off of Siegen I-10.

People who give money think they can make a difference. They can’t.

If you’re old enough, you’ll remember that there used to be alcoholics who lived on the streets. We called them “winos” or “bums.”

But now, we no longer have winos or bums. They were somehow successfully reintroduced into society because the people out there now are victims of the lack of affordable housing or they had a high paying white collar job but lost it.

1. Shut down the methadone clinic nearby.

Problem solved.

The cheapest solution is a one-way bus ticket to California.

The good news is you’ll have the same home and amount of money in 50 years. You’ll all be dead.

Maybe we could vote in competent leadership the way they have instead of the leadership we have. MS wouldn’t allow it. Keep bashing MS, but they are doing better and better while we are doing worse and worse. You think bussing homeless people out is the answer? That’s never going to happen. Even if it did more would replace them immediately.

My exact opinion. They’re straight up losers. I’m seeing more and more of them in West St. Tammany. I’m emailing my loser councilman about it soon

You can have nuisance/panhandling laws that don’t infringe on their rights. They will need to be enforced but it’s only a temporary fix as they have become an infestation.

In the end, It truly is a matter of not giving them anything

If people would just fking stop giving them money they would quit. Every red light, there’s always someone who hands cash out their window. It’s profitable, so they do it. Convenience store panhandlers are just as bad. There was this one old man asking for money at a RaceTrac. I didn’t give him money but the person behind me did. He immediately walked up to the counter and spent it all on lottery tickets. I guess at least it’s going back to the state.

Yeah, awhile back I went down Siegen and it had been awhile before then and I was caught off guard by the number of those begging bastards they had.

Bottom line. You keep feeding a stray dog that dog will keep coming back. People keep giving to these lazy fricks so they keep going back.

Also, the city or parish.. whatever can claim the beggars are causing traffic problems.. Or that they are a safety hazard and put up signs where they go that says "FOR YOUR SAFETY DO NOT GIVE TO BEGGARS".

If I was a beggar I am not going to go to a location where there is a sign saying don't give to beggars.
