Learned a new term today, “Medical Gaslighting”…

So on a local station during a break the station had an ABC News Brief and the story was about a new term called “Medical Gaslighting”. Apparently, this is when a doctor does not give credence to pains, aches, and illnesses you have when at their office attempting to let them know what is wrong. This, as a a male of the Caucasian persuasion, has happened to me quite a bit over the years. The reason I interjected my race and gender into the mix was because, you probably guessed it(ABC), this was brought into the story and said it happens a lot more to minorities and women!
Really? What a load of crap! Happens to everyone freaking one at some point! Why must every single thing be made about divisively “Gaslighting” minority groups? Seriously they are on the radio bitching about gaslighting while partaking in gaslighting!

“Medical gaslighting” = “Doc thinks you are a hypochondriac or attention-seeking in some way.”
Or sometimes it is just because the doc is a prick who has a preconceived notion going in and wants to go “wham bam thank you ma’am, that will be $50.”

Correct with both but this is easy to see where this is heading…Litigation Lotto Land with a dash of racial heat built in as well.

This pattern of media doing the ground work for trial lawyers happens over and over.
You can see this in environmental stories about a company polluting, some racial incident at a restaurant, the NFL anti-woman environment, etc..

my work is impressed with me.
when i get sick in our household however, my wife tells me to STFU and go to bed, you're just exaggerating.
i believe i have been Medically Gaslighted.

Would love to see the statistics they've compiled.

Per capita, blacks with handicap plates or placards has to be 4 to 1 against any other race.

This was the narrative in 2009 with the ascension of the medical genius, Barrack Obama, to the Oval Office.
The solution?
Write a shitton of narcotic prescriptions for patients.
History may not repeat itself, but it does rhyme.

The entire COVID vax side effects fiasco has been one big medical gaslighting.

$50 for a doctor visit? Did you take a ride in the Delorean with Marty McFly?

Yeah, we've got a doctor here in town that's been in practice waaay too long and needs to retire. He's kinda the opposite...
Patient 1: Hey doc, I've had this weird tingling in my elbow in the evenings. I was reading this blog on the internet that said it might be liver cancer and encephalitis.
Doc: Ahh, I see. Well here's a script for Lortab and another for Xanax. Hope you get better.
Patient 2: HI doc. The problem? Oh, I'll show you. My arm is off. Ran into King Arthur, trying to block his passage. Bad business. My arm is on ice in this bucket right here though, see?
Doc: Oh, definitely. Yes, here's two scripts for Lortab and Xanax. If you see any rabbits on the way home, do NOT approach.

Saw a T-shirt this week I might have made for me.
“Gaslighting isn’t real.
It’s all in your head.”

Wife's (no pics) experience as an ER nurse is that a lot of patients are dumbasses and too stupid to be gaslit.
