Whatchoo talkin' about, Willis??
Stop with the ridiculously TIRING "Waah, Protestants!!" red herring and take your truth medicine. NO ONE faith of "Christianity" got singled out for a deserved backhand.

So, you’re good with wars of conquest? Mass slavery? Massive amounts of torture as punishment or simply for sport? Widows and unwanted children literally left to die in the street? Use of young boys as sex slaves? And on and on I could go.
Do you want to hear about the sorts of behaviors the Hebrews and early Christian's took part in?
Genocide, killing women and children prisoners of war, stoning girls who don't bleed on her wedding night and old men picking up sticks on the Sabbath, etc...

Yeah, I wasn't sure where he was going with that statement.
I also find it odd how a Christian is being so adamant about how Judaism and Christianity are so similar.

You are describing the period of the Old Testament? That’s your equivalence? Failing to recognize the unfolding of salvation history that led to the coming of the new covenant?

Bears repeating. Your reminder should make everyone reconsider the degree of passion for their "hobbies" -- and "ranked priority" list.

I'm describing elements of the moral system people like you claim this society is built on.

Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared, -1 Timothy 4:1-2
For those who do read the Bible, this comes as no surprise. Stay vigilant, prayerful and repentant.

Ok, I'll bite.
Exactly WHICH sects? And WHEN? According to which respective "law"?
You obviously want to make a point or two; Go ahead and make them.

The only people I’ve ever seen make this argument are Zionists.

At a minimum, you still have death to look forward to, and probably some suffering, and likely some moral conflict, and the knowledge that you ma have hurt others, or failed to do your best, or you may have to deal with injustice or even malice from others, or maybe injustices and malice you will commit upon strangers, or family or yourself.
Well I'm in for everlasting damnation then...
Look I don't give a damn what religion folks have or how they practice it (as long as they don't evolve me in it). I'm 73 yrs. old and have never read a single page in the bible.
I try to treat people fair and with respect. I go out of my way to help others physically and monetarily. I'm my hardest critic and know when I've fricked up.
If that's not good, enough so be it...

No it does not. The New Testament fulfills the Torah.
Replacement theology is incorrect. Christianity didn’t replace the promises to Abraham. They were a fulfillment of them and we, as gentiles, were grafted into his family.
That’s literally New Testament scripture. Replacement theology hinges on the English translation of Jeremiah 31:31-34. The issue with that is the translation isn’t accurate as the word for new is more accurately renewed
Meaning God is reinstating the Promise He made.
I’m not saying I’m a judaizer. I’m saying the judaizers missed the point of their own covenant.
Now here we are doing the same exact thing hundreds of years later but on reverse.

Gentiles were given 4 explicit rules in Acts 15
They should abstain from food polluted by idols, sexual immorality, the meat of strangled animals, and blood
So biblically, Gentiles we’re grafted into the JEWISH fellowship if they abided by those rules. Notice I didn’t say they were saved - just they could worship together
Meaning Jews and Gentiles were meant to worship the same God together who fulfilled His Covenant through Jesus the Messiah. We were never intended to ignore the Torah as teaching.

Human morality, in all likelihood, predates the written word. It's probably fundamental to how Homo Sapiens became a social creature in the first place.
Jews didn't invent morality.

I don’t think any Jew would say that.
The apostle Paul agrees with you in Romans 2 - morality is God’s law written on every man’s heart so they are “without excuse”

Yes, but exactly which ones? There is such a thing as context back then.
quote:
People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw rocks.
AND...those people are...ALL Christians?? Some Christians?
Again, clarity and specificity needed. Making broad-sweeping accusations without context is like hitting the side of a barn from point-blank range and claiming, "NAILED IT!"
EVERY man is a hypocrite AND "sinner" -- if that's your point (a point Christians already acknowledge).
It doesn't mean the Law should be ignored when violated -- along with obvious law-breakers, does it?
Some people (along with "Christians") are nicking-up the Glass House while others are tossing boulders through them.
How's this for a Bottom Line?
If the question then becomes, "who can lead the *most* by example and as mentor of all laws?" Isn't the man who most abides in a (Biblical) standard of morality as the basis for good law and polite society in America help maintain a superior civilization?

Christians are salt - they are the only thing preserving society and humanity
That and the infallible truth of the Bible (if the Bible says it it’s 100% true period) being removed - mental illness abounds
(And don’t give me any critical Bible professor bs - I’ve watched all their classes - it’s all hollow bs but ugly men and women that want to live in debauchery)
