I have a friend who used to work as a chef in Vegas and L.A. for a while. He moved back home to be with his mom who was sick and opened up his own place. It's more of a bar and just runs it without cooking all night.
One night, one of our mutual friends had a wedding party at his place and late in the night after many drinks he made some weird stuff up for people to eat. One of them was a PB&J bacon burger and it is one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. It had more to do with the sweet and salty of the jelly and bacon, than the peanut butter, but it was delicious.

When I have leftover burgers and I don’t feel like getting all the fixins back out I will absolutely slap some PB on a plain patty+bun. Not my favorite way to eat a burger but I think most people overestimate how much sweetness the peanut butter adds when they hear it. It complements well.

Yeah its cool in a novelty sort of way but 99% of the time I want my burger with big boy sauce or Buds hickory sauce

Isn't peanut butter on a burger a Midwestern thing? I had one at the airport in Minneapolis one time at the Blue door Pub. I thought it was pretty good.

No but then again, I'm not a serial killer

Hamburger, yes. Cheeseburger, no.
Yeah, it really messes it up if you do cheese & peanut butter.

There is a place near me that makes a PB&J bacon cheeseburger with jalapeños. It is glorious.

No, but I’ve heard some guys put it on a hotdog for their dogs because they enjoy it, and apparently the dog does too.

There’s a little restaurant in Conway, AR, called Stoby’s. They have a pb&j, jalapeño, bacon, cheese burger that sounds disgusting but is actually delicious. Anybody driving through Conway should definitely check out Stoby’s.

Burger place near me in Cahaba Heights had a burger they called the "Morning Wood": double burger with peanut butter and jelly topped with bacon and a sunny side up egg. That and some onion rings was fricking amazing.

I love doing a peanut butter, jelly, fried egg, and bacon burger.

I only like PB on burgers if there’s thick cut bacon as well. Something about the balance of flavors.

You're getting downvoted into oblivion, but it's actually damn good. Better than mayo? Not by a mile, but it's still good in its own right. It does not sound appetizing, but if people would actually try it they would be surprised.

peanut butter and banana
Peanut butter and banana is a great combo. I put peanut butter directly on the banana as I eat it and avoid the bread.
I have never had it on a burger but one odd combo I discovered by accident as a teen that I actually loved is peanut butter and bologna in a white bread sandwich. Sounds disgusting but I loved it. I haven't eaten bologna in probably 25 years but this thread has me craving one of those "disgusting" sandwiches.

Sounds gross. What is you opinion on putting sugar in cornbread?
I believe there is a place in the deepest parts of hell for people who mix sugar and cornmeal.
