They are already doing so.
At least one alphabet person already publicly claimed they were quitting between his stake being announced and him getting a board seat.

Twitter announced Tuesday it’s appointing Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk to its board, expanding the billionaire’s influence during the ongoing debate over lack of free speech on the platform.
Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal tweeted the announcement Tuesday, writing that "Through conversations with Elon in recent weeks, it became clear to us that he would bring great value to our Board."
Looking forward to working with Parag & Twitter board to make significant improvements to Twitter in coming months!" Musk wrote, responding to Agrawal's tweet.
The news comes after Musk purchased a 9.2% stake in Twitter Inc., according to a Monday filing from the SEC. He now controls nearly 73.5 million shares of the company, making him the largest shareholder. The purchase comes about a week after the billionaire criticized Twitter’s lack of free speech, saying it "fundamentally undermines democracy."

Let's hope he can right this ship.

If Musk were to "fix" twitter, it would go down as one of the greatest accomplishments for the country ever.

Expect to see a lot more of this.

I got a long list of things that would make Twitter a better place…
1. Drop the fact checkers and the farce that Twitter is the fact police
2. Remove all blue check marks. Only give them to institutions. No more “verified” people providing and enhanced set of opinions.
3. Force internal punishment for “accidental” locking of individuals through “mistake”
4. Remove the bots and permamaban all accounts that are shown to be buying bots.
5. Remove the ability for Twitter to shadowban, mute reach, disrupt distribution, or deamplify messaging.
6. Treat all messages equal and only moderate content if the comment violates the explicit rules put forth by Twitter. No arbitrary content moderation.
7. Treat things like a platform and not like a publisher to limit twitter’s liability as we start to see more moves to define free speech online.
I could probably come up with a half a dozen if not more ones to hope for, but regardless Elon making a play for the Twitter board is good for the idea online free speech.

That's how to use your money as a blunt force instrument:

So Elon will make Twitter unwoke and Twitter will grow by billions.
If venture capitalists find out you can make more money by going UN-woke, the days of woke corporations might be over...hopefully.
