Rarely and I live just across the lake from the shite hole.

I used to go at least a few times a year. Walk around the French Quarter or concerts, the aquarium, something like that. Now I have zero interest. Its become a crime ridden shithole.

No need. Nothing there that I can’t get anywhere else.

Last time I flew in was in 2018. That city has really gone to shite.

I live in Texas and go to NO about once a year for Muriel's and The Pelican Club.

Once a quarter probably...major holidays to see my wife's folks.

Aside from all of the Covid bullshite and the skyrocketing violent crime (which is a major concern, especially if my wife and daughter are with me).
I get tired of New Orleans after about 6-8 hours. I don't think I could do a whole weekend there without just wanting to go do something else. Not sure if that's a function of me getting older, but the appealing things about New Orleans aren't as appealing to me anymore. And the drawbacks are more glaring, even as a visitor. Is that happening to anyone else? Is this part of getting older?

Used to be every 4-6 months for a weekend with the wife.
Now, we actively avoid it.
If you can’t walk in tourist areas without the fear of being accosted, it isn’t worth it.

Used to go once a year at a minimum, not counting weddings, festivals and such. Haven't been in two years and don't really have any plans of going. Not scared of dying, just don't feel the need to support such an anti American shithole.

We used to love going when we were younger but the things that we used to do in Nola no longer interest me in my mid 40s.

About a few times per year.

Since college is go for concerts, games, visit friends, etc at least every month or two. We went to the French quarter after a saints game in 2019 and almost got robbed twice. Went for Mardi Gras that year and my wife’s purse got taken and luckily I was able to grab it back but still lost her phone. Went to a wedding that fall and a guy in our group got jumped in a bathroom at a bar where they just waited on him in there and robbed him.
Haven’t been since. Don’t plan to ever go back. I’d kill for a poboy at Guys again.

Metairie has better restaurants than y’all give credit for.
Name them, seriously. I would welcome the opportunity to have a good meal in Metairie and avoid the city.
To answer the original question, I'm probably in the city 5 times a week. At least 4 of those are because of work.

Never. I go out of my way to avoid that shithole.

TulaneLSU: "Impastato's is my number 1, 2, 3, and 4 choice for restaurants in New Orleans, even though it's in a distant suburb that requires me crossing bridges. It has a great sign and it smells like the inside of mother's kitchen.".

I would feel more comfortable parking my car in Ukraine.

Used to go into NOLA about once a month for dinner or visit the zoo/aquarium with the kids. Between the Destroya crackdowns and rampant increase in crime we havent been there in several months and no real desire to go again soon.

Just a general question for many in this thread…..
How many of y’all have ever came to New Orleans and done anything other than go to the French Quarter and/or Superdome?
