NFL: All teams MUST add minority Offensive Coach

This is absolutely bonkers. The Rooney Rule (the worst rule in professionalism anywhere) has already been a huge failure leading to lawsuits, faux interviews, and disagreements. This is only worse imo. Forcing teams to hire somebody ONLY because the color of their skin. And this role REQUIRES direct contact with the HC and offensive duties, because the NFL is trying to ride the trend that young offensive guys are getting HC jobs.
Realistically this is ridiculous. How far does the NFL have to coddle a certain group of individuals before they’ve had enough without getting the results they want and just put black head coaches in place on their own. Why even keep up the facade anymore. Just say “hey New England, your new HC is [insert random black guy] deal with it”

What a ridiculous precedent the world is becoming. Kids growing up are going to think it’s normal for some people to have advantages in life because of skin color, sexual orientation, etc.

im still waiting on that rule that forces all teams to have the exact racial makeup of census numbers for the states they are in. no more majority black teams, you have to have 60% of whites as starters. if you dont like it, then all racial requirements of any kind must be done away with

This is pretty pathetic and racist. The white coaches and players should bring a lawsuit.

The only thing that might save the NFL in court would be the fact that a league-wide fund is being used to pay this assistant coach.

At the end of the day, we the fans are paying for it.
Even non fans that don’t like sports of any kind are paying for everything.
TV contracts support the NFL.

And to prove the NFL wrong, every team should hire a Mexican. Go down to Home Depot, you could fill all 32 team slots in 10 minutes.

Easy, hire a 22 year old white female to fetch coffee for the HC and the Offensive staff.

Yeah because that’s never been the case before
If this is true that they must hire a black candidate it will back fire and be counter productive but if you thinks it’s been 100% meritocracy before you are kidding yourself
